Shinjuku Washington Hotel Main
Ranked #19 of 84 Hotels / Ryokan in Shinjuku
Reviewed April 5, 2014

The location of the hotel is a 10 minutes walk rom Shinjuku station. There is a downstairs corridor directly from the station so it helps with pulling around luggage instead of taking your luggage to the streets. I was able to walk to Meiji Shrine, Yoyogi Park, and Harajuku with a iphone GPS so its definitely doable. The hotel service was okay and the front desk seemed robotic which its probably because of the amount of people checking in and out since they do have a ton of rooms.

Room Tip: Request for a non-smoking room.

Good value hotel, 10 mins walk to shinjuku station. There is a tunnel directly to shinjuku station but use it only in bad weather otherwise you miss out on all the stuff at street level! Rooms are typically small and there are 10+ restaurants in and under the hotel. Overall good value for money i think.

Well, overall this place was nice. I guess in all international huge cities, the hotel rooms are small, so if you are obsese, dont come here.
I enjoyed it overall. They have a 24 hour convenience story (family mart) in the lobby, and it is not an insane walk from there to Shinjuku station, so overall it was okay. Cozy bed, reliable internet, and heat (because damn Japan is cold when you are from Malaysia). I liked it. Cant complain.

This a big hotel and finding the reception can be a bit confusing, but they do have a foreigner check in with English speaking an very helpfull staff. The rooms are a bit small but not exceptionely small for Japanse standards. The beds are also Japanese standard ie HARD!!!

Teeny Weeny room. Suitable for just 1-2 night stay, any longer, its best to find a room that allows you to walk around a little cause by the time you open your luggage, no space. Overall nice place, decent décor, really small washroom but its good enough as don't intend to spend hours in there! smooth check-in and check out with automated check-in/out machines, central location and near to airport limousine stop (a few meters away) & walking distance to the train.

The hotel is strategically located to the metro station, not so close to face the noise no so far to lose you way.

The main restaurant is so cool, because the view is wonderful. It is just astonished. Rooms are very clean with fancy lights controls.

Just saying from personal experience, If you have an intense schedule to go in the day, this hotel is definitely not the best choice. Yes, Shinjuku is one of the major stations in Tokyo, and lots, lots shops and restaurants going on in the area! For those who want to do shopping and shopping only, it is surely convenient. But there is a long walk to the hotel, especially after a tiring day (say if you went to Disney for the WHOLE day with-out rest!) you wouldn't want to walk that 10 minutes before you can really sit down and get ready to bed. Other than that, everything else was fine for this price.
We booked 2 rooms, the one I stayed was a triple. The room was aged but clean and there was a little rest area in the triple room, so a bit more space to lay our luggages open. But for some reason the room was hot and airless even after we have turned on the A/C. The other room seemed quite comfortable, so I didn't call to the front desk since it doesn't seem to caused by central control and was still manageable.
Although it's minor, but there's one only issue that our housekeeper somehow decided to not clear our dustbin and eventually we had 3 plastic bags of garbage hanging around the bin....That's pretty strange for a Japanese hotel.

Room Tip: Triple room has a little more space for suit cases! Don't take the connecting pathway as they...
