Hotel in much need of refurbishment! The rooms are tiny- we didn't even have room for our suitcase. Bathrooms are terrible too- smaller than the toilet in an aeroplane. About 15 minutes walk from Shinjuku station- research how to exit the station & find hotel in advance as its confusing! Staff had very limited English & no knowledge of tourist attractions. Took us 15 minutes wait to get a space in the lift down to street level. Noisy (walls paper thin) and full of school groups. Would not recommend unless you are on a budget.

Very good costumer service, very friendly and helpful staff.
Very affordable for Tokyo.
Location is average with a 15 min walk to the Shinjuku station.
Rooms are very clean but very small, however equipped with whatever you would expect a hotel room to have except english tv channel like CNN or BBC.

Firstly, the hotel lobby is really hard to find for first time visitors, it's not sign posted at all and it was only pot luck that I found out it was on the third floor after wandering around aimlessly for 20 minutes. The service is what you would expect from a large hotel, efficient but somewhat impersonal. The rooms, as is standard in Japan, are pretty small and the bed I had was lopsided! In general though they were clean. I booked a non smoking room but was given a smoking room and had to put up with smoke wafting in from the corridor. I had a nice view of the Shinjuku skyline from my room.
In terms of location, it's next door to the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Buildings and is about a ten minute walk from Shinjuku Station, if you don't get lost which unfortunately I found myself doing quite often in the first few days! As a tip, try and find the South Terrace exit at Shinjuku Station and follow the main road towards the tall buildings of Nishi-Shinjuku, don't take the underground route which points you towards the TMGB's because, as efficient as they are in general, the Japanese could take a few lessons in signage!
Check in and check out are super quick, they have electronic check out terminals where you simply insert your electronic room card (tip: take care of this card otherwise it won't function properly if you bend it or if it gets worn out) then hand your card to the receptionist and your'e done.
There is an airport limo bus that has a stop at the hotel but I'd recommend taking the NEX train if you arrive anywhere close to peak hour, it took me over two hours to get to the hotel on this bus as the traffic was bumper to bumper. The train is only a 50 min ride to Shinjuku Station.
I didn't get to try out the breakfast buffet or any of the restaurants, of which there are plenty to choose from. There are two convenience stores in the building which is handy. The free internet in the rooms is blazingly fast.
I'd recommend this hotel if you are prepared to walk a bit to and from Shinjuku Station, which you will find yourself doing several times a day though there is a local bus which will take you there for 100 yen.

Comfortable and quiet hotel. Rooms are a small but typical for Japan, still very comfortable. Clean. $200. for a two twin beds and that includes a great buffet with american and japan style food. Free wi-fi in the lobby and free interned with a plug in your room. good service. $100. taxi ride to Haneda Airport but much faster then the buses and trains. walking distance to restaurants and shopping.

Room Tip: take elevator to third floor where you will find the front desk and lobby.

Stayed for 4 nights here in august. Hot stuff, but the AC did it's thing. The room was small (though that is par for the course here) as were the beds and the bathroom, and the hotel had a slightly run-down feel to it, even if the design of the huge bulk of a building is actually rather nice - curvy and welcoming.
Basic amenities, nothing fancy.
Ok neighbourhood for tourists, with Shinjuku Station and all the shops and restaurants around it 10 mins away, and the "Akihabara Mini" streets just next door. And do go to the observation platform in Tokyo Gov't Building across the road!
The staff was not too helpful - wouldn't let us check in even 2 minutes (literally) before 3 o'clock, but it's apparently not that unusual in Japan...
Tip: stay away from the massively overprized breakfast in Café Baron on 3rd floor and go out into the city instead.

the room was not spacious at all. stereotypical image of Tokyo. for the price, you might as well stay at a toyoko inn. it's slightly larger from what I remember.
on the bright side, it was amazing to see how the hotel utilized what little space they had with maximum efficiency. the amount of appliances, and amenities that was provided in room despite the limited space was surprising. experienced an issue with the air conditioner though. despite being April (still cool in Tokyo), it was extremely warm in the room. the a/c unit worked, however it was not powerful enough. I suspect it may be due to the "setsuden" (energy conservation) mantra that the Japanese government instilled on everyone thru repeated televised / print campaigns. anyway, was not pleased with that. however, the room was well maintained with a capable cleaning crew and pleasant hospitality from all staff.

location is on the west side of shinjuku station where there is basically nothing except hotels and govt buildings. the east side of the station is a stark contrast with many things to see, shopping to do and restaurants to choose from.

I was at this hotel for eleven days which is longer than most travelers and was able to see most of the hotel at my own speed. Yes- the rooms are small. We are in Japan and that is how the rooms are unless you want to spend an awful amount of money. I had a problem with my reservations which got worked out to the hotel's satisfaction but they did it so politely that i accepted it. You have multiple places to eat here and if you want to drink one by the lobby door which is open late to watch people and one the baron if you want a little fancier. The Baron also serves breakfast but if i was you i would go to the 25th floor. It is fancier and you get a full buffet for the same amount you get for a limited meal at the Baron. The all night grocery store is great and is a good place to see a cross section of the neighborhood. The hotel is a 15 minute walk to the train station. We did it twice aday for 11 days. If you can do that, then book the hotel. Once you find the path to the train station you now are in control of your trip because everything goes out of the station. If you think that you will watch news in english at the hotel-forget about it. The pay per view is poor at best...There are no newspapers anywhere but a drug store by the post office...I did not use the bus service even though it does go to the door because I wanted to try the train and it was quicker by far but still that 15 minute walk is in front of you after a 14 hour flight. The staff will help you if you ask and you have a better chance if you go to the foreign desk. I do have a suggestion to the hotel- chairs in the lobby. You have the space!!! It may be not your custom but most travelers would love to rest in the lobby reading a paper drinking a coffee . It is the best way to understand a new culture i find when i am in a new country. eat lunch and dinner away from the hotel...one night maybe try the 25th floor for the view....
