An absolutely amazing and unforgettable experience. I stayed here with my boyfriend for 2 nights for my birthday. The staff left me a little cake that was so thoughtful and delicious. The staff really go out of their way to help you and are so professional and polite in every way. They make you feel like royalty. The beds are so comfortable and I am especially in love with the bathtub in this room, complete with packets of bath salts that smell DIVINE. The view from our room was of course stunning. New York bar was very pricey but worth the experience. The drinks were delicious and we also ordered some french fries that were fried in duck fat with home-made ketchup. SO delicious. The gym and swimming facilities are also perfect, complete with a gorgeous view of Mt. Fuji. The breakfast buffet layout was massive and everything tasted so delicious. I just want to live here forever! Will definitely be back next time I am in Japan. Thank you so much Park Hyatt, for existing.

Room : Park View King
Length of stay : 2 nights
Facilities to use : Girandole, Kozue, Peak Bar, Spa, Delicatessen

Room is spacious thanks to windows and high ceiling.
Staff were always attentive and friendly.
Facilities gets old but well maintained and aging
comparing other hotels in Japan, which get too old-fashioned as time goes.

Their rate may be highest in Tokyo.
To me, they deserves it now.

Sadly only managed to stay in the hotel for 2 nights, at the end of a 2 week trip to Japan, but we were lucky to have even that short time at the hotel.

I'd wanted to book the hotel, like so many, because I wanted to recreate some of the magic of Lost in Translation. The hotel didn't disappoint and, after we'd all done the incredibly geeky thing of taking pictures in the famous dressing gowns, thoroughly enjoyed everything the hotel offered, from the nespresso machines in the standard rooms, the little biscuits left on welcome and the free water, the amazing bathroom with full amenities and the lovely bars and deli, it was all great. Concierge were also very helpful, assisting with taxis, transportation and other services which took a lot of the stress out of travelling home.

The hotel may not rank quite so highly with some people - its true the rooms are smaller than the Ritz Carlton, where we also stayed, and the location isn't quite the same a Roppongi, but we really liked it. Shinjuku with all its bars and shopping was only about a 15 min walk, and Tochomae station was closeby too. While the rooms were smaller, we felt (in our case at least) they were designed a bit better, with two doors out to the corridor so there was even less noise.

We didn't eat at the hotel, as this had all been booked up, but went to the bar and ground floor patisserie/deli. The famous New York bar was certainly an experience, but wasn't so keen on the queues and the fact there is no way for guests of the hotel to book a table. Not ideal if you just want one quick drink. The patisserie was wonderful - recommend treating yourself there.

Can't wait to go back, hopefully for a little longer next time!

Room Tip: If you can, one with a view of Mt Fuji, although we didn't have one and the view was still amazi...

We stayed in March 2012 but I wanted to record a review, late as it is, because this is the such an extraordinary, comfortable and well run hotel. No superlative is really enough. Comfortable, luxurious beautifully decorated and lit. Excellent professional and courteous service. What else to add about perfection?

We stayed here for three nights this January, and felt this stay was a special treat for us on our trip to Asia. As noted in other reviews, the place is wonderful and notable in terms of service and ambiance, so I'm just going to nitpick here. For example, one downside is that they could not provide a king bed for my husband and me, and we ended up having to stay in a room with two "queen" size beds (although the size of each is just slightly larger than a twin size bed). So if this is important, you may want to contact in advance to ensure you get the room type you'd like. Regardless, as others have posted, each room has a phenomenal view of the city. It was always a pleasure to come back to the hotel and rest and relax at the end of the day from the cold and chaos of Tokyo in January. The location is a hike from the train station, and the exact place where the shuttle picks you up from the train station is not easy to find and we didn't always feel like waiting around in the cold for it.

We started every morning with delivered coffee in our room (which is free when you sign up for hyatt gold membership, which is also free) and a workout at their gym (with a view of Mount Fuji) where my husband helped himself to a banana every day. We rented a portable wireless device from concierge to enable us to use our iphones to navigate around and it worked seamlessly. I think the cost was 2500 yen (about $25 for 24 hours).

The New York bar is nice, and we splurged on drinks on our second night there. The first night we tried to get in, on a Saturday night, we were told there were no open tables, and they had us wait in our hotel room. We ended up falling asleep in our hotel room before a table opened up. Perhaps reservations may help on weekend nights. The night we did get in, there was a nice jazz trio that played. The bar was smoky, but I think that is usually the case in all Japanese bars.

The staff was always gracious and willing to help out. We always felt welcomed and would recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay at a special place in Tokyo.

We stayed during the new year of 2014 in a deluxe room at 47th floor. The night view was absolutely amazing. The room has a big luggage closet which was particularly useful because it's the last stop of our Japan trip and we did a lot of shopping in Tokyo. Typically the room will be come really messy with stuff and bags scattered everywhere, but the closet keeps the room really neat for the 3 days we stayed. This became my wife's favorite hotel.

This is definitely going to be my first choice for my next Tokyo trip.

The only inconvenience was the elevator rides: one to the hotel and another one to the room. A bit hassle if you come in and out a few times a day.

Room Tip: One caveat is if you'd want to book the shuttle to Narita as early as possible. We tried to book...
