2nd time @keio after many yrs-
Stayed at main tower this time room 3726- a keycard is required to select the floor in the elevator.
Room is good size, elegant and very comfy & super clean.
All amenities are provided slippers, dressing gowns, lots of L'occtancine products, kettle, cutlery, dehumidifier, free wifi...everything, even the curtains are controlled by a button by the bed!!
The location is also very close to town and the station- 10-20mins walk or so.
We also made use of the hotels complimentary coach service to Disneyland/sea, coaches are comfy & clean & best free of charge!
The service and the staff are friendly and efficient- lovely hotel, totally recommend anyone wanting to stay close to town!

Room Tip: any room on 37 floor i guess

stayed here some years ago and thoguht it was great value...so booked again for this trip. The hotel is tired and rooms need a revamp. Also, get wifi!! You can wire up to internet in your room if you are lugging a computer around...or you can use one of the 3 or 4 computers in the business centre...and pay per use....but seriously, for a technology leading country like Japan, not to have wifi...and please provide as part of the room cost....is very old.

Even as a Keio Member I couldnt get a late checkout without paying by the hour.

Service was otherwisse good - I guess they ae just abiding by management rules. Location is great but wont stay again.

Room Tip: The higher floors are better...but ask for a renovted room.

Both both immediate and extended family stayed here for a week in early January. I'd read advice and asked my travel agent to ensure we had the main tower rooms but this had not been arranged. We were initially given rooms in the south tower. The standard rooms in the south tower are very dated. After spending 5 minutes in the rooms we decided to upgrade to the deluxe the the main tower. For only approx $40 per night the difference was amazing. The main tower rooms were of a high standard and nicely modernized, although the bathrooms are still a little quirky. Beds are a little hard for my liking but we found this common in Japan. We found the rooms warm and so left the blind open to cool them down. Got colder quickly in the Japanese winter.

The location for this hotel is amazing and right on the doorstep of a hundred restaurants and very close to the station.

The Polestar bar on the 45th floor is recommended just for the view alone. If you order some of the whiskeys they give you one solid single sphere of ice about as large as a baseball to cool your drink. Amazing.

We ate at the teppan-yaki and the steak was great but the price is quite high for the more deluxe (kobe beef and lobster set).

Disney shuttle service is fantastic. We went to both Disney Land and Sea. Just book the day before. Make sure you are not late coming back as they don't wait as we found out because we wanted to catch the last of the Disney Light show. You can just take the train back to the hotel anyway.

Would stay here again just for the location but was very happy indeed with the overall service.

Room Tip: Main tower or high level south tower.

I stayed in the main tower and found the room to be quite adequate for my needs. The only complaint (and I was warned of this by other travelers) was the wifi was inconsistent, so I made sure to bring a wireless router and plug that into the room's ethernet port - it made a HUGE difference. I was there for 2 weeks and the service was always perfect. When my travel buddy lost his wallet in a cab, the staff went to every length to help us deal with the situation. The other big plus was the location. You are right beside Shinjuku station, which is very centrally located and services close to 4 million people / day (yes, really) and there are many places to eat within walking distance of the hotel. There are many eating choices within the hotel as well, but you'll pay quite a premium! Most of the time that I ate in the hotel, I was merely going down to the convenience store (another big plus) and buying some noodles or other snacks for the room.

Room Tip: I think the rooms in the main tower are more stylish and consider a wireless router regardless of wh...

Rooms need updating, Internet speed is slow and the room service is very expensive. The hotel itself is well located to transport, shops and places to eat. The hotel only caters for two English speaking channels, so bring your own entertainment.

Just back from Tokyo and stayed at our usual hotel Keio Plaza Hotel. The room is around 25sqm and this time we stayed at South Tower and upgraded us to Plaza comfort. The mattress is good and this gives me a very comfort and good sleep.
I will recommend to request to stay at Main Tower which is newly renovated and much better than the South Tower. The South Tower really needs to renovate because all things are old and especially the carpet.
Overall, Keio Plaza Shinjuku is a very easy access and convenient hotel.

Room Tip: Choose to stay at Main Tower

This hotel is very well situated and immensely busy. However, not once did the staff drop the ball. Upon check in the bell staff and the reception staff were very well coordinated. The hotel provided the thoughtful touch of small tables next to each check in line for weary travellers to leave their shoulder bags and other heavy accessories. A small but appreciated facility.

The concierge staff, Mr Kaneko, was especially excellent. Very helpful, precise, and efficient. He went beyond the call of duty in assisting with multiple enquiries per day and refused all tips that I tried to give him.

The hotel also has several excellent restaurants, one of which is Kyubei and another the buffet restaurant in the 1st basement level (you won't have a shadow of a hope on weekends to eat there unless you have a reservation, even for hotel guests). The bar in the basement is pricey but has good ambiance and is cigar smoker friendly.

The location of the hotel is excellent, being only 5 minutes walk away from the epicentre of busy Shinjuku.

The room itself is nothing special. Very clean of course, as is the norm in Japan. An air purifier is provided. The air gets very dry in the winter due to the heater. No adaptors for foreign plugs are provided in the room. The TV channel selection is limited. A nespresso machine is provided with a limited amount of free capsules.

All in all I would not hesitate to stay here again. Shinjuku is one of my favourite parts of Tokyo and the Keio Plaza is excellent value for money in an expensive city.
