The Keio Plaza Hotel is a luxury hotel located in the Shinjuku neighborhood in west central Tokyo. The rooms are small but very comfortable. They include a small refrigerator and a hot water tea kettle (no coffee but you can buy instant, milk, & sugar for the room at a convenient store like we did. The hotel is expensive, but a deal by Tokyo standards. The restaurants in the hotel are also high, but any of the 3 breakfast buffets are worth it for a good start in this busy city. The shops in the hotel are actually cheaper than stores on surrounding streets (wine was a good buy, and so were the wide choice of ethic souvenirs). You can charge hotel meals on your credit card, but not anything in the hotel shops (cash only). The hotel is only a couple blocks from the massive Shinjuku railroad/subway station for good access to all of Tokyo. The Tokyo Municipal Building with it's 2 free observation decks is next door.
