“Really worth a visit”
Reviewed November 2, 2013 via mobile

While my friend was busy shopping i decided to go have a look at this Museum and came out completely satisfied. It is not a large museum but impeccably kept and the view from the 42nd floor where it is located is nothing short of breathtaking. Another plus is you get to see Van Gogh's famous 'Sunflowers'.

“Museum and View”
Reviewed October 22, 2013

Excellent museum on the 42nd floor (I think). As you enter there are amazing views of Shinjuku and Tokyo, including a close-up of the Cocoon building. The museum has current exhibitions, a permanent collection, and ends with Van Gogh's sunflowers.

“Loved it!”
Reviewed March 22, 2012

Such a wonderful surprise, am extremely glad I went, more for the Seiji Togo and Japanese art than for Van Gogh's Sunflowers. Definitely worth taking some time to visit.

“Decent art gallery, high up in the air”
Reviewed February 14, 2012

This gallery is special for a few reasons: it's got van Gogh's Sunflowers (a painting I don't like very much myself, but even if it's not to your tastes, it has the cultural importance of being the painting that was famously purchased by a Japanese corporation for a mindbendingly large amount of money), and it's on the 42nd storey of a skyscraper, which means that even if you don't like any of the art on the walls, you can look out and get a great view of Shinjuku and the rest of the metropolis spreading out beneath you.

While we visited they had a fairly interesting collection of paintings owned by, or depicting events from the history of, the Japanese Red Cross; in total, there must have been no more than 30 or so pieces displayed, but each is given enough space and good lighting that you can appreciate them. No photography is allowed in the gallery, although you are not prohibited from taking pictures of the view of the city outside.
