We bought our baseball tickets from Japanball.com before we left Australia. But you could wait and buy them from a Pia ticket counter or Lawson (Loppi) ticket vending machine when you are actually in Tokyo. The stadium was full when we went and there was crowd participation like I have never seen before - the whole crowd doing a chant/dance with mini multi colored umbrellas (you can buy. I bought a plastic popcorn bucket that was made to look like a Swallow :)
You can buy fabulous food at the little outlets and noodles from a vending machine... the toilets are super clean.

You will love this - even if you are not into sport :)

Was our first Tokyo baseball game and really enjoyed seeing the Swallows play. The atmosphere is much different than most US ballparks. Going in the summer was extremely hot though, so we'll try a night game next time.

Great having beer girls with kegs on their backs serving during the games. Good place for Keio games also not just the pros.

Forego the nicer seats behind home plate and along the infield. Your best bet, like the Bleacher Bum seats of Wrigley field, are in right field. Cheap seats in the thick of the lively, group-chanting cheering section. What more do you want? This is the classic Japanese baseball spectator experience.

Althought the action on the field is similar, the Japanese professional baseball experience couldn't be more different than the MLB. From cheerleaders and dozens of organized cheering groups with drums and noise makers, to wonderful and reasonably priced concessions, going to a pro baseball game in Japan is a must-do if you can. If you're in Tokyo, there are several options..
