Best Italian in Tokyo. Food, service, atmosphere are all great. This is not your usual bland, impersonal restaurant: Stefano personally takes care of guests. Only the best ingredients are used, and everything is made by hand. Last but not least, it's not at all expensive. Highly recommended.

This tiny restaurant gets everything right.
The ice cream, pasta and seafood are very fresh and I love the desserts which are hard to find elsewhere in Tokyo.

Delicious, authentic, home cooked Italian food. Everything is made fresh and with care and clearly Stefano cares a lot on what he puts on a plate. I particularly enjoyed the rabbit tagliatelle and the scallops tartare. Highly recommended, enjoy a long, boozy, tasty lunch there.

From the moment you are greeted by the charming Chef Stefano to the moment you leave, satisfied and happy; a trip to Ristorate Stefano is never anything other than a fantastic experience. For a picky eater such as myself, this restaurant is ideal,;with a felxible and talented Chef and a wide and varied menu you could eat here every day and never get bored. Stefano selects only the best local and imported produce to make fresh, seasonal and vibrant dishes. Freshly made pasta, home smoked meats and fish, served in innovative combinations make this a truly wonderful eveing out. Stefano is tri-lingual so communicating any dietary requiremnts is easy - a real boon in Tokyo where those who have food limitations can often find themselves struggling. Recommendations would include anything on the daily specials list, as they will include the best of the current season ingredients and of course my personal favourite, any dish with artichokes, difficult to find in Tokyo, impossible to find in Tokyo prepared as well as Stefano does. Worth a trip to Tokyo for this restaurant alone.

Ristorante Stefano is a hidden gem in a city that boasts an extradinary number of Italian restaurants and eateries of good to excellent quality. What you will find at Ristorante Stefano you will find nowhere else: home-style Venetian cooking by a chef who is at the top of his game. Every last morsel of food, from the bread basket items to the thinly sliced smoked duck that may accompany appetizers, the daily pasta specials to the daily semifreddo is prepared in house. Don't pass on desert. The service is warm and friendly, and Stefano will gladly take special requests or mix and match different food items depending on what he has prepared that day. I have dined at all of the high end places including many of the Tokyo Michelin's, but when I just want to relax, be fed and enjoy a nice evening--this is my "go-to" place. It is worth noting that Italian Embassy staff are frequent guests and Italian expats in Tokyo won't even mention it because they don'to want anyone to know...
