“Delicious and worth the money”

Having eaten at Sizzler in Thailand so many times, I have to admit that Sizzler in Japan (same goes to Sizzler in the US) are far more superior. The quality of food is better and choice of food are much greater. I really like the salad bar which includes refillable beverages and 5 kinds of desserts including ice cream. We stayed at the Keio Plaza Hotel so Sizzler Shinjuku branch is quite close by, just a block away. So don't be intimidate to try a Sizzler just because you are in Japan and want to try authentic Japanese food. We have been in many authentic Japanese restaurants during our 7 day Japan trip and have to admit that the Sizzler Shinjuku was one of our favourite place to eat during our trip.

“Super fresh and good food with Japanese elements”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 16, 2011

Best salad bar in Japan - offers wide selection of Western and Japanese items, seasonal foods, even tacos! Imported beef and lamb chops. Good value and super for families as well as visitors to Japan who want a healthy and abundant selection. Long time favorite that maintains levels of quality and service despite economic decline. Highly recommended to all.

“decent value for money in an expensive city”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 20, 2010

We ate here mainly because its one of the few places they had the menu in english as well as japanese!
The choice was a main course - stuff like steaks and burgers, and this was bundles in as a package with a buffet selection for soup, salad, a drink and desert, they even have a chocolate fountain.
Its really close to the Keio plaza where we stayed and in a little shopping / restaurant area with starbucks ect in.
The only issue we had, like in most places in Japan, is many of the waiting staff dont speak much if any English, its worth learning a few of the basics to help you through your trip.
If we were in Shinjuku for longer, we would have returned to this casual restaurant.

“Good Value and Reasonable Food”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 18, 2009

It was good value by Japanese standards. The prices for the main courses may seem a little expensive but what you have got to remember is that the main course includes an excellent salad bar, soft drinks and a dessert, like ice-cream (which actually was very nice). My main criticism is that if you order a steak or a hamburger it comes with 5 (yes 5) chips. This was ridiculous although to be fair 5 chips are 2 more than are displayed in the menu illustrations of the meal) Wine and beer are also available but as they are extra it might be best to stick to the soft drinks. The quality of the meal was quite good and we did return for a second visit which, I suppose, must speak for itself!
