You can order anything from the restaurant and you won't go wrong with them. You can also take any table and the view will equally beautiful. The ambiance is perfect for everything; whether if you're relaxing with friends & family, working on something at a quiet place, reading or even looking at the couples rowing by the canal.

I like the outdoor seating better than the indoor even when the weather a little cool for people from tropical country like me. It's nice to know they don't mind people staying long there as I saw some warm blankets are available on the terrace chairs.

The Café has a regular restaurant. They serve lovely Italian themed food, have a bread and soup buffet at lunch, and nice views of the outer moat that used to circle the Imperial Palace here in Tokyo. It's not cheap but not too pricy for the location. I can recommend the inside. However..... there's outside seating on the terrace that runs the length of the water at this café. In spring the weather is warm you can get wine and a freshly baked oven pizza - sit outside and watch the Cherry Blossoms and feel the sun. It's one of the few places in Tokyo that has this ambience and the availability of fresh air dining.

Walking toward the Canal Cafe from Kagurazaka Station you might think you were in Paris, or Florence with French music being played over public loudspeakers, and wheels of Parmigiano-Reggiano being offered on the sidewalk. A respite from the large crowds of Ginza, Shibuya and central Shinjoku you should find this out-of-the way spot to relax and enjoy a cup of latte. Despite the JR trains passing on the other side of the canal, this is a nice place to sit and relax with family and friends.

Grab a bottle of wine and some gelato with friends at this place!!

The canal part of the cafe is perfect to sit about and chat in when the weather is nice. It's a great getaway from the busy Kagurazaka street. Their other food/drink choices are all great, and some days you can rent row boats to take out on the canal.

Lovely evening with yellow and green mellow lights while watching time flow by the iidabshi canal. Great location - you almost feel like you have entered another dimension leaving behind the crazy hustle and bustle of Tokyo. Definitely a must go. However, don't expect a lot from the food or the service, this place is more for the views and the serenity it offers.
