Hotel is about 15minutes walk from JR Shinjuku East Exit. You may pass through Subnade and use Exit 15. Check In/Out is a breeze. Breakfast has limited choices but filling enough to start your day in Tokyo. Room is really small but since I stayed with my two small kids, It's not that much of an issue. Bed is comfortable but the pillows are so small they look like throw pillows. Bathroom is clean though the drain on the sink is clogged, it takes a while for the water to go down.

The hotel is within the Kabukicho area but I never felt unsafe. Hotel is near Takashimaya, Isetan and Lumine for those who are into shopping.

Hotel is good and worth the price but nothing exceptional.

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights and were on the overall very impressed with the hotel and level of service we received. This is probably close to a 4.5 stars hotel in Australian standards. We booked the Executive Double B room on the 13th floor and had great views of the city. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and they spoke basic English. Breakfast buffet was included with our room and consist of Japanese and Western style options, and it was delicious. The bed was comfortable and room was cleaned to a high standard. I was impressed with the size of the bathroom given the size of the room and there were heaps of space to put my toiletry bags at the sink. I love the complimentary Evelyn & Crabtree toiletry provided. My only complain would be the lack of towel rails and places to hang our clothes. This is however a minor detail. We would definitely choose to stay here again if we return to Tokyo.

Have just returned from a staying at this hotel for 3 nights, and the room was clean and cozy, albeit a little small. We stayed in the double room and the bed was slightly smaller than a single bed, but again....soft and comfy. The hotel staff were friendly enough, but not overly bubbly or warm. The breakfast was a big disappointment, as I often look forward to a big spread at hotels of this caliber. However, the western selection was very limited with some orange/yellow gloop available that they claimed was scrambled eggs. There was no bacon anywhere to be seen, and one small toaster oven with a timer for all the guests to share if one wanted toast.
The hotel is close to one of the Shinjuku train station entrances if you exit the hotel and go left, with a short walk up the street to loads of restaurants and shopping. However, for god's sake...down go right out of the hotel as the street in front and nearby is filled with African/shady Japanese touts offering to shake your hand and introduce you to "sexy girls."

Room Tip: don't pay extra for the breakfast and don't make eye contact with the touts outside!

Pros:
We booked 3 rooms for 5 nights at the best western. The rooms were clean and tidy (beds were a bit on the smaller size), staff were very friendly and helpful, and breakfast was included and offered a good range.

The hotel provides service laundry facilities.

Cons:
The hotel is not in a good location if travelling with children - African pimps harass you at night.

Tips:
There is a lawson convenience store on the bottom floor of the hotel for snacks/drinks. There is also a close metro station.

this rating is only because the location is in tokyo, elsewhere i would have given a lower rating. this hotel has very good location and quite easy to find if you follow the hotel map (print from the hotel website). the walk to the shinjuku main train station is an easy walk. but if you hv a lot of lugages, then a diff story because we hv to climb many stairs in the train station. from shinjuku JR station exit walk towards ABC store across then follow the map isntruction. nearby there are BIC uniqlo store, yodabashi etc. also walkable to takashimaya. we stayed here for 4 nights. 2 nights upon arriving and another 2 nights before leaving japan. we stored our big lugages in the hotel for 5 days in between our stays for free. the breakfast is average but almost same menu every day. our room is very small compared to other same class hotel outside japan and the double bed is small for 2 smaller than a queen sized bed. esp if you are a 180cm man. everything else is great very clean, room amenities are complete with a warming toilet. but the best thing is the location hence i would say this is a good value hotel. although the area is in kabukicho i dont feel the location is unsafe. no such feeling at all. we would definitely return and would recommend this to our friends n family. oya the hotel staff has quite a good english also.

Room Tip: rooms above 11 floor has magnetic key tap to the lift so more secure and the room slightly bigger i would say
