Friendly staff. Room was smaller than expected (one side of double bed beside wall) but was off a good standard.
Great breakfast buffet with something for everyone. Easy enough walk back to train station. Good location.

I spent 16 nights in this great buy of a hotel.

I booked my stay through wotif.com and got a AU$5 a night better deal than the Best Western 40% rate.

Location can't be beaten. Not only is Shinjuku a hive of restaurants, night life and culture, the hotel is located 10 minute slow walk to the JR line and there are entries to the subway no more than 50 metres away. I was trying to find a way out of the snow storm and found the rabbit warren of cafes, cute shops, restaurants all on the short walk to the subway line. This area is not as sleazy as past reviews have mentioned, I think the most interesting site was a transgender geisha handing out flyers for a massage place. I walked confidently after dark and always felt safe. Lawsons convenience shop is on the 1st floor which have great prices and hot food though the staff at the 7-11 10 metres down the road are MUCH friendlier and the 7-11's atm accepts foreign bank cards.

The breakfast offered here was great and if you can;t find your usual breakfast fare, i'm not quite sure what you are eating. I did have lunch one day and wasn't too wowed but certainly couldn't complain with the cheap price.

Two of us shared a standard double room which after 16 nights certainly tested it for size and comfort. We never felt cagey. We ended up putting our bags at the end of the lounge. The bed was spacious for us, 6ft6 husband and a chubby wife. The pillows weren't to my liking. One was too soft and the other felt like a bag of rice. The bathroom was surprisingly big. Modern and clean. Cosmetics and toiletries were replaced daily and were of good quality. I really miss the bidet. First time user and now addict. (I miss you Janis).

All staff were lovely and helpful. Couldn't fault them. One tip is to write down questions or requests in case you have a thick English accent, makes it easier all round.

Vending machines are on every floor except on level 7 where there are washers and dryers. You can also buy movie cards which have English movies. The only English channel is CNN.

Already recommended this hotel and they will be seeing us again all too soon.

The hotel room is clean and tidy. Staffs are helpful and the most important is value for money. It takes only 10 mins walk from shinjuku JR station to the hotel. There is a convenient store at the group floor of the hotel, so you can buy necessity, food and drinks in a very convenient way. The buffet breakfast is also fine.

This hotel is the perfect one for city addicted visitors.
- PERFECT location meters away from the Golden Gaï, in the heart of Shinjuku, across the street from Kabushicho. 3mn walk from the JR Station (direct rom the airport).
- GREAT service, we were able to confirm our Jiro Sushi reservation, they can also arrange tours.
- (good) breakfast and internet included
- rooms are bigger than most rooms in Tokyo, you can actually move around even with two suitcases.
- the hotel is quite new and very clean.

At this price, it's the best value we find and we keep coming back - even after trying several others in this neighborhood and others. (they tend to be quickly fully booked)

We stayed at the BW Shinjuku for almost a week in October 2013.

This was the perfect place for us. The hotel is relatively recent, the design is modern and stylish, and the hotel is very clean.

Location is great, very close to Shinjuku station (east) and at the edge of Kabukicho and Golden Gai.

Regular rooms are a bit small, but not unusual for Tokyo. We upgraded to a room on the executive floor, which gave us a room twice as large as a regular room for a small fee. Bathroom was large and clean.

Included breakfast is average but offers the basics (hot and cold): eggs, fruits, yogurt, etc as well as Japanese breakfast.

Overall, we loved this hotel and will definitively go back at our next trip to Tokyo. We had previously stayed at the Washington Hotel, in Shinjuku West, but the BW is a lot better (more recent, cleaner, more stylish and better located).

The Best Western was a great value for the cost. The location was excellent for activities and restaurants and shopping. With good access to Metro and airport limo. The neighborhood was an interesting one with a few unsavory businesses nearby. However, we always felt perfectly safe.

The breakfast was decent, although the same every day. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was very nice with lots of amenities. The bed was comfortable however the pillows were hard.

All in all a great value for the money.
