“Great value and great service”
Reviewed November 5, 2013

I stayed there twice in the same week. Booked for one night on the 20 and then went to Kawaguchiko one night and head back for the last three nights in BW. The first night I was lucky to book a non-smoking room. It was great! Very clean and all cozy with everything I needed. The space in the room was acceptable and I was very satisfied. The last three night I wasn't that fortunate and had to book my three nights with a smoking room since the non-smoking rooms were full. In my opinion, if you are a non smoker... stick to the non-smoking room. Though they tried to take away the smell in the smoking rooms, but once you reach the smoking room floors, you smell "the smell" very heavy and all your belongings will catch the smell after staying there for three nights. If you don't bother with it, then it is ok. But for my next visit, I will definitely go with the non-smoking rooms. Overall, the staffs was very friendly and I would still stay here on my next visit.

Everything is in the title of my review...
for your next own pleasure. Enjoy !
Your first breakfast will enjoy your first day !
You will have a genuine rest with your first night...
It is a very quiet place which is very closed to the very exciting district of Shinjuky and not so far away from the Shinjuku station... from where you can go almost everywhere !

The room we had was booked through wotif for approx $120 AUD per night. The staff were friendly and available and the rooms were clean and modern. A buffet breakfast was included in the cost however this was average. The highlight of this hotel was it's location amongst bright lights, bars, entertainment venues, karaoke rooms and restaurants. We felt safe and had a fantastic time using the Best Western as a base for exploring Tokyo.

Room Tip: Skip the buffet breakfast. At night go to the the Robot Bar- it was our favorite thing to do in Tok...

Stayed a couple of night in Shinjuku Tokyo on a holiday. Came in from Haneda airport and used the subway to SHinjuku station. Big mistake - it has 200 exits and I am not kidding. Took me forever to find the right Northeast exit ( I used B9 but there are some closer if you can find your way through the maze). Better to exit any of the other shinjuku subway stations if you can. The hotel is near or on the red light district but dont worry - its very harmless. The streets around are the best tokyo shopping streets in my mind ( muji store across the street) and it was also easy to jump on any of the subway lines aroung the city. The receptions was very friendly and helpful with lots of pamplets, information sheets and maps. Rooms are smaller than average, more than half the size of any EU or US hotel but very modern , compact , very clean and with your own electric chair - the toilet seat had heating. You also get 2 bottles of water on arrival but no refill during your stay which is a shame. Breakfast was good but limited .There is a conviniency store 'Lawsons' on the street level if you need anything.

Room Tip: I had some view over tokyo on the 11th floor.

The hotel is centrally located in the busy Shinjuku district. It's about 30 mins in a taxi from Haneda Airport which will set you back approx ¥6500. The check in was smooth and staff were very pleasant and welcoming. The room is not the biggest compared to European hotels but more than adequate for our stay. Free wifi in the room was good. Room had a fridge and flat screen tv within. A drinks vending and ice machine could be found at the end of our corridor (12th floor) not sure if these were on every floor. 7th floor had 2 washers and 2 tumble dryers which were really cheap. Hotel has it's own laundry facility but you'll pay big!! Breakfast isn't the best to be honest, I like my food but not onion rings, curry, cod fritters or chips when I've just woken up. There is bread, fruit and cereals though so you won't starve. We didn't try lunch or dinner in the hotel so can't comment on the choices there. Location is great, the hotel lies just behind the Golden Gai and is about a 10 min walk to the train station. There's loads of places to eat around the hotel and of course, a 7 - eleven or family mart for the room supplies. Overall, a great place to stay and if you've booked here you won't regret it. Enjoy!!

This hotel is centrally located in Shinjuku, just a 10 minute walk from the station. It was perfect for us to explore Tokyo in the 5 days we spent there. The staff were friendly and efficient and the room was (small) but perfect for us and very comfortable.

Breakfast was not to my taste, I'm not one for eating beef curry at 8am. However the cereal/bread/fruit was adequate and plentiful.

All in all a great choice and if i were to return to Japan I'd stay here again.

We stayed 4 nights during our Japan holiday. Location was almost perfect only 5-6 minutes walk from Shinjuku station. Also you can reach the hotel from underground. Just take the east exit at Shinjuku train station and walk down through the stairs. Then turn right and walk about 70-80meters to Subnade shopping mall entrance on the left. Go down from the stairs and walk through the end. Then turn right and exit 15 will be on your left. Take exit 15B to go up with stairs and after 50meters walk through the street; you will be in front of the hotel. Reception was located on the 3rd floor and checkin process was easily completed & wifi password provided during the checkin. Our room was a double room and size of the room was OK and almost same as with European standarts. Bed was also comfortable and bathroom was well equiped. Shaving set, toothbrush type amenities were provided along with slippers. There was only CNN as an English channel. Breakfast was also included during our stay and there were plenty of everything; both Japanese and international type. I recommend you to take the breakfast. Location was just in the heart of Shinjuku and walking distance to everywhere in Shinjuku. Shinjuku rail station was the main transfer point for trains. If you had a JR Pass - which you can buy at your country before arriving to Japan - you can also use JR Yamanote line instead of Tokyo subway with JR pass. It will take little longer, but you can reach almost whole main stations such as Ueno, Tokyo, Shinagawa and Shibuya. Also if you are planning to travel to Osaka or Kyoto via Shinkansen bullet train, I also suggest you to transfer at Shinagawa station instead of Tokyo Station. So that you cn avoid the Tokyo station crowd. For the airport; we took Narita express (NEX) train and in around 80-90 minutes; you will be at Shinjuku station. Overall; it was a nice hotel with reasonable price & location and I can recommend it.

Room Tip: ask for a twin room
