Went to this area to visit the Meiji shrine but after walking around that for a while I decided to take one of the other paths and explore more of the park. I am glad I did, this place was very nice and relaxing. In the afternoon on a nice day, think about grabbing a bento box and just relaxing in the open areas of the park on the grass and eating some lunch. If you need a break from the frantic pace of Tokyo then this is a great spot.

Our trip to Tokyo was busy and hectic trying to fit everything in, so sitting at Yoyogi Park, and taking a leisurely stroll with my wife was a great way to spend a morning in Tokyo. Leaving the built up city to sit in a serene park. It was also interesting finding the off leash areas for the dogs each segregated for different sized dogs.

Maybe because it was early March; maybe because it was a light rainy day; maybe because it was late afternoon; maybe because not a lot of other people. It felt like a raven park. Birds too loud, too scary, too ominous.
We almost turned around to leave. Kept going in end. Scary yet cool. Different. Different can be good.
Wondered where park was from all the other reviewer's pics.
Arrived from Yoyogi Subway Station.
No fee to enter.
Very well maintained; grounds immaculate.
Clean facilities.

I love this park, great for a leisurely stroll. It could use some places to sit along the longer paths, but that's pretty typical of Tokyo anyway.

Look we liked this park because it was nice to walk through a park instead of through the busy city streets, great to watch the dogs running around with their poodle make overs. Its next to a major temple (Meiji Jingu) so make sure you go for a walk through it on the way to the temple.
