This hotel offers really good value for money. Its location is excellent, just a few blocks away from the famous Shibuya crossing. There are lots of dining and shopping possibilities around and also a lively nightlife. From Shibuya Station you have great train connections around the city and also to/from Narita Airport.

We got a really good price for our semi-double room. The room was, as this type of rooms in Japan normally are, tiny. The room and the bathroom were extremely clean, but a bit scuffed. Our window was made of patterned class, the kind of you can't see through, and couldn't be opened more than a little ajar. But that was ok as our room didn't actually have a view, it was facing a fall. The bigger rooms and the rooms on the upper floors probably do have a view. The staff were polite and efficient, but I can't really describe them being friendly. We didn't try the breakfast as there were so many different breakfast possibilities around. I think this hotel is a great choice for those who appreciate a super location and value for money, but aren't that demanding on the room itself. I would be staying here again.

We stayed for 4 nights at this hotel.

Location is pretty easy and if you come out to Shibuya Crossing (the massive crossing by the Hachiko (dog statue) exit, you will see a Starbucks ahead of you. Cross the road with Starbucks on your left, and walk until you see Zara on your right, then turn left. Go past Parco mall and you should come up to the hotel. It's about a ten minute walk with luggage.

The rooms are tiny, and apparently this is typical for japan but even then I was surprised, but at that price range it did seem very good value.

As a guy who is pretty tall I had to duck a little to use the shower (if you are 6 foot or under you will be fine) and the bed was small for a couple.

There was no breakfast included, but that was fine for the price we paid, and the room was clean and the toiletries provided were sufficient and nice to use as well as things like a comb, shaving kit, dental kit provided. They also supplied an iron when requested.

They have wired internet in the room (I used my own portable travel router in the room) and wireless in the lobby.

Staff were helpful and they even had pyjamas in the room that were replaced daily, and nice little touches like all your shoes/slippers will be lined up and clothes folded.

Very happy with it and gave 5 stars as it was pretty much as advertised.

One point of note is that there was a school or sports centre where kids are playing sports which was quite loud (whistles of the coach/referee, kids shouting etc). Perhaps there are rooms away from this which I would recommend you request.
We had a no smoking room and didn't smell any smoke.

Room tip: Ask to be on the other side to the school/sports centre.

Room was very very small! Front desk staff were alright, free wi-fi in the lobby was pretty slow! Good location and value though. It was walking distances to many enjoyable local restaurants. The only thing about it was walking to the hotel from the main street which most people would do, it is slightly uphill and it can get quite tiring especially with all the shopping that you've done!

After deciding to extend out stay in Tokyo by one night at the last minute, we had to find new accommodation (since the hotel we had been at previously was very expensive to book when not done online and in advance!).

Some googling led us to the Shibuya Tobu, which was in our price range and had a room available same day. Done!

The location is excellent, right in the heart of Shibuya. The reception staff were very courteous. The room was okay....clean but smelled a bit like smoke and the bathroom was clean enough but could be cleaner, if you get what I mean!

Recommended for value and location!

When I travel location is everything, and this hotel is perfect locationwise. 4-5 minutes walk from Shibuya station and in the middle of everything, but just enough off in a sidestreet to be calmer and not too noisy.
Rooms are quite small but good, (have been to smaller), clean and nice. The TV has BBC which is nice when being far away and not understanding the language.
There's wifi (a bit slow) in the lobby. Didn't try the breakfast as it wasn't included, but as you are in the middle of everything there's lots of cafees and stuff around every corner.

We recently spent 5 nights at the Shibuya Tobu during our trip to Japan. Really enjoyed
our stay. Our double room was a bit small ( customary in Japan) but very clean and bed
was extremely comfortable. It was possible to open the window which provided a lovely
fresh breeze. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Location is excellent! Right in the heart of the action yet quiet. Loads of restaurants
nearby serving Japanese fare or British Pub around the corner with excellent fish and
chips, really good Italian nearby, burger places, breakfast shops. Also VERY expensive
shopping. Tokyo Hands store a few blocks away and a must.

To access from Shibuya station take Hachicho exit ( end of platform). Once
outside at this famous crossing look up and you will see Starbucks. Bear to the right
and walk straight up the street which I believe is Seibu. You will walk up 2 stoplights
Zara will be on right side and Oicity will be on left corner which is white building
with a silo like tower. Turn left and pass Parco Mall and you will see the Tobu sign.

Only small issue was the faint smell of smoke but apparently it is possible to
secure a non smoking floor which I was unaware. Also some additional hooks
for hanging towels or clothes would be an inexpensive and welcome addition
to the room.

Room tip: Non smoking!
