Stayed here for a second time this past month and am still thrilled with my experience. This time around I stayed in a corner room which I honestly have to say was not worth the increase in price. The views were nice but not proportional to the increase in expense.

Everything else about this hotel is fantastic though and I highly recommend it to anyone looking to stay in the Shinjuku area.

Stayed in the hotel for 8 nights with our 5 & 8 yr. olds and have no complaints! Booked through Priceline at about SGD220/night for a double room. It's a hotel with no room service or bell service but we felt it was not necessary, it was a cinch bringing luggage to and from the room. The hotel has luggage trolleys at the reception which guests could use when checking out.

Reception lobby is on 20th floor and rooms are all the way till 35th floor. We were assigned room on the 29th floor. Guess the view would be much better on the higher floor with less blockage from surrounding office buildings.

Room was very clean and a good size considering its prime location. Room amenities were well stocked, with a kettle, Shiseido shampoo, conditioner and bath foam as well as the toothbrushes, razor, sewing kit, cotton pads, hair dryer and hairbrush. Extras are scrubbing cloth, hair bands, a room & fabric freshener and a cool looking ironing board (which we didn't have the chance to use). Bottled water is supplied daily and you have choice of having the sheets changed daily or every 3 days, this is their way of saving water and electricity.

Hotel is easily accessible via Narita express (approx 1.5 hr journey), exit from the new south exit of Shinjuku station. For those not keen on Narita express, airport limo bus stops at Sunroute Plaza Shinjuku, just across the road from CST. As Shinjuku is a major interchange, it's very easy to access the different subway lines. Food choices are aplenty at the station or around the area outside the station. The hotel is connected to Takashimaya Times Square via a bridge and for Krispy Kreme fans, there an outlet just 30 seconds from the hotel exit!

All in all, a strategically located hotel worth returning to.

Room Tip: The hotel has no pool and a very basic gym with treadmills. If you need an extra bed, you will have...

Great location if you need to be in and around Shinjuku with access to travel throughout Japan thanks to Shinjuku station being nearby. The hotel has a simple but clean feel but is most accurately classified as a upper-end business hotel. The gym is really just about 3-5 machines and not recommended for those travelers who like to get a good workout in. Restaurant selection is decent with a middle of the road breakfast buffet but again more than adequate for a business trip over a couple of days. Rooms are small to average. Since the hotel starts on the 20th floor the views from all the rooms are fantastic. Staff is polite and amenities are good. For the price this a very good hotel.

The best thing about this hotel is the prime location. There are 3 lines on the metro that stop on this location, plus a JR station too. Coming from Narita, just use the JR Narita Express line, or the Keisei to Nippori then the JR Yamanote line. The JR is super close to the hotel, just a 2 minute walk.

To the southern terrace you can get to Tokyu Hands and Takashimaya. My husband also spent some time in Victoria bldg golf store which is just a 2 min walk from the exit. From there, it's easy access to more shopping and a lot of good food.

Wifi is free too. :)

Less than 2 years ago, we were so impressed with this hotel, we booked it straight away for our latest trip to Tokyo with our 6 year old son. The hotel is very kids friendly - it does not charge any extra for kids if they use existing bedding. We got a 31 square metre twin room, which was spacious enough for the three of us. We already knew the location was awesome - Narita Express stopped at Shinjuku, and the hotel is less than 5 min walk from the New South Exit. Such a location enables us to pretty much go anywhere in central Tokyo easily. The best thing for us, though, was Takashimaya that was just 2 minutes walk from the hotel. This is a massive department store that has an impressive basement floor of gourmet food. The food was mainly for take out, and we always made sure we would get a couple of things from there for our desserts. The Takashimaya also has an excellent restaurant selection on Floors 12-14, including Din Tai Fung (an award winning taiwanese dim-sum place) and Tsunahachi (an excellent tempura place), which we went.

Hotel itself has great facilities including free wifi that worked really well, and a small convenient store on Level 20, just before you go up to your floor. Staff was excellent - if you want to make restaurant reservations and don't speak much Japanese, you could ask them to help - they booked three dinners for us, which really made things easier. This was complementary of course.

We didn't eat breakfast in the hotel, as there's a good Krispy Kreme and Starbucks near by. We also tracked down a closeby Yashinoya and tried the japanese breakfast there.

The only slight downside I could think of was that the beds were hard. Didn't seem to bother us last time, but this time we really felt it!

After staying here for the second time, we still can't rate it high enough. This is the place to stay to explore central Tokyo. Our trip involved going to Disney Land, so we did go to another hotel in Tokyo Bay for that. If you could get a good rate (check the hotel's own website), you should certainly consider staying here!

At 35th floor, our spacious room which is newly renovated, offers a spectacular and panoramic view of Tokyo - overlooking Times Square Takashimaya and Tokyu Hands. Initially we experienced some wifi connection problem, however the hotel staff fix it quickly. Hotel front desk staff are also very friendly and helpful in providing us with direction on how to get to the various sightseeing places. Overall, service is impeccable! On weekdays, the hotel has a 500yen happy hour drink until 7.30pm, which allows you to chill out while enjoying the skyscrap of Tokyo! Not to be missed!
Excellent location easily accessible to all places, with Shinjuku station just3-5 minutes walk from/to Southern Terrace exit! There is also an affordable airport limo bus service to/from the hotel which is very convenient - this save you from burning a hole in your pocket if you had to take a taxi instead; the limo bus also drops/picks you up directly at the hotel doorstep, therefore you do not have to struggle with your luggages to/from Shinjuku bus station terminal (~10minutes walk from/to the hotel). However, do take note of the timing.
Overall, this is an excellent hotel for leisure and business travellers! Highly recommended!

To be completely honest, after hearing about how expensive Tokyo was, we were pleasantly surprised at the value for money this property afforded. I couldn't recommend a better location, and the rooms were outstanding.

Located all of a 3-5 minute walk from Shinjuku Southern Terrace exit, you are within short transport distance to most major attractions in Tokyo. I make specific reference to the exit above, as we found out (and were forewarned) if you take the wrong exit, you can expect a 20-30 minute walk. Shinkjuku station is enormous and unlike most train stations, its not as simple as just walking around the block. So I say it one more time - Southern Terrace exit.

Also within short walking distance is Takashimaya shopping centre and a host of other shopping centres. You couldn't really ask for more from a location.

The reception is located on level 20 which gives you a sneak peak to the fantastic views that await in your room. All of the rooms are above reception, so your view is only going to improve. We were located on level 30 with a great view over Tokyo towards Mt Fuji which I'm assured was visible on a clear day, although I'd suggest that clear day comes around less frequently than a leap year.

The rooms are well sized, and I make that assessment by western standards. If you're talking Japanese standards, the room was enormous. The bathroom was well-sized, the queen bed very comfortable and the perfect place to seek respite after a busy day exploring the city.

A convenience store located near the elevators affords easy access to any snacks or late night Asahi cravings.

If I am able to return to Tokyo in the future, I'd have no hesitation staying here once again. The perfect triumvirate or great value, location and comfort.

Room Tip: Most rooms offer a fantastic view, but if you have a preference for which direction you'd like t...
