Description: "Barbacoa" is a Churrasco specialty store founded in Sao Paulo, Brazil in 1990. Churrasco is a popular barbecue dish in Brazil. Pierce meat and vegetables into a long skewer and bake it in a custom-made oven called Schluscaro while slowly rotating it. The seasoning is mainly rock salt only, because the excess fat also falls, you can enjoy the original taste of meat. Origin of the store name, long ago, there were customs to native peoples of Latin America to bury meat with burning charcoal and hot stone, to steam and eat. It is said that the way of cooking is called "Barbacoa" in Latin and became the origin of modern "barbecue (BBQ)". Churrasco cuisine was said to be "Barbacoa" because it is close to that old style "barbecue".

We went to the location near the Tokyo Station called Barbacoa Classico for Sunday Brunch. Excellent salad bar. Meat just okay, but very salty. Great service. Two AYCE brunches and one AYCD wine was $US95. Not expensive by Tokyo standards.

During weekday lunches, you can order salad bar only for $US22, which we'll do next time.

We will certainly return.

My friends in Tokyo took me to this restaurant on my last night there. Since it’s not so “local”, so I guess they used Tripadvisor too, hahah. The grill was so flavorful, very delicious. And the service, as always in Japan, was the best of the world.

I have traveled the world on business and enjoyed hunting for some of the best grill restaurants in each city. I can't remember the last time I tasted meat with so much flavor. As the staff brings cut after cut of meat, you being to wish that it would never end. I devoured as much meat as I could tonight.

The ambiance is a notch above casual and the salad bar and open restaurant layout bring energy to the restaurant. I noticed mostly 25-45 year olds, many on dates or with groups of friends. The wait staff was courteous and prompt with answering my questions - despite the language barrier.

Start with open salad bar and then let lean back and prepare for a delicious meat bonanza! Two thumbs up.

Definitely the best place for meat lovers! The quality is good to very good, very tasty... For those who are tired of tiny pieces of Kobe beef in Japan, here you can really enjoy and satisfy your protein lack! Friendly staff! Btw their facility in Ginza charges you 20USD more for the same and the place is noisy! So Omotesando one is better. Reservation is highly suggested (they even have an on-line English website for it!)
