“Fun place to visit”
Reviewed April 30, 2014

Fun place to visit on a Sunday afternoon, however we did not see the Harajuku girls as we had hoped. We saw one or two girls dressed up in amazing costumes, and that was about it. Fun atmosphere though and still worth visiting on a Sunday.

“Fashionable and interesting mix of clothings”
Reviewed April 28, 2014

Indeed a great place to shop. This is one of the places in Japan to find fashion clothings at very affordable prices. Interesting to see all the flamboyant costumes the youths wear on weekends!

The crepes here were popular and i tried one, it was yummy indeed! Pancakes are also very popular in Tokyo with many queues i saw in Harajuku waiting to have a seat in pancake shops.

Most shops at Takeshita-dori accepted credit cards which was useful as i did not bring sufficient cash.

I was surprised though that the shops started closing early at 9pm on the saturday i visited! For such a bustling place, it would have been good to open till at least 10pm just for fridays and saturdays maybe?

Good place to observe and see another entertaining side of Japan with all the loud dressing. :) a must-visit especially on weekends!

“Great fashion for cheap prices!”
Reviewed April 25, 2014

Every time I'm in Tokyo I love going over to Takeshita-doori to do some shopping! There's a great variety of stylish shops where you can get all the most fashionable clothes and accessories. It's crowded, as usual, but always worth the trip. In addition, if you get hungry be sure to stop at the two crepe stands half-way down the street. They're both delicious and are a great energy booster after spending the day walking in such large crowds!

“Awesome vibe !!”
Reviewed April 25, 2014

Harajuku is the place to be to see all the weirdest trends in fashion in Tokyo! It's a must see to observe all the young teenagers walking around, in this crazy atmosphere full of people, strange clothes, strange people, food, lights, and items!
People disliking Harajuku probably have not understood the purpose and spirit of this area!

“It's like Ginza but cheaper and much more authentic”
Reviewed April 25, 2014

Sure, you dont get the big prada shop, but you get to see only Japanese mid class teen agers having fun - it's an extremely entertaining and educating experience- we've also visited a mall, called Sunshine 60 - full of people, some nice singing shows going on, and a lot of fun! Definitively the place to be if you want to do some shopping or learn about Jap day-to-day life!
