We loved learning about the Shinto culture, the simplicity of nature, our guide was Shinto so we saw this lovely place through her eyes.

We also saw two traditional weddings, comin from the temple and we were able to take many photos of the traditional headrest and clothes of bride and groom, we had them explained to us before, so understood the significance.

While it's turned into a tourist hotspot, the walk to the shrine is quite peaceful, and is quite a majestic sight in itself. If you're in the Harajuku area and want some quiet time away from the city crowds and noise, I recommend it.

Its nice but not amazing. There is not really much to see in Tokyo so I guess go here. If you are stuck in Tokyo you might as well go here. Its a decent walk in a park

We went here a little too late. It was 18.15 and the temple closed at 18.30. However - we were almost alone and could really feel the peace and the silence. I would suggest you get here at least one hour before they close.

Much less crowded than the Asakusa temple and in my opinion - more beautiful since it's more of a hidden gem than an outstanding temple.

Very beautiful park like setting in the middle of Tokyo. The shrine itself is beautiful. If you go on a Sunday morning, you will also be treated to tiny little Japanese girls, 2 to 4 years old, dressed like little porcelain dolls. Completely charming.
