Lovely cafe with healthy juice/smoothies and really good veggie food.

Nice design- felt very peaceful and quiet even though it is on a busy shopping street.

A great place to have a break from the hustle and bustle of Tokyo.

The Botanist is a popular Japanese brand that makes hair and body care products from natural ingredients, so I can definitely vouch for their café that's located on the 2nd floor at the Harajuku store that opened on July 15th, 2017. It is a minutes walk from Exit 7 of Meiji-jingumae Station on the Tokyo Metro Chiyoda Line or Fukutoshin Line. It's a 5 minute walk from JR Harajuku station. Before you go up the stairs there is an electronic tablet that you can use to reserve a table (in English).
The menu is in English so no worries. The ingredients used in the dishes are seasonal botanicals. At present since spring is in the air they are selling dishes laced with spring veggies and cherry blossom themed dishes/drinks. Stopped by to try the Sakura burger but it was sold out. So, ended up relishing the Botanist Burger - that comprised of a juicy soy meat patty, tomato, onion, avocado, vegan cheese and slathered with their creamy homemade tomato sauce. For dessert I ordered the Waffle with cinnamon & apple compote. Washed it all down with the caffeine free - butterfly pea tea that changed colors from a mesmerising blue to purple because of the acidic reaction to the lime wedge garnish. Apart from the taste the meal was a feast for the eyes & definitely instagrammable.
The service was the usual - polite and friendly but just keep in mind the food could take a while to be prepared and served.
