Got to try many innovative tofu dishes - recommend the grilled eggplant tofu skin rolls and table-made tofu (they heat the soymilk in a wooden tray above a coal fire). Vegetarian options clearly marked on menu - think of it as tofu based tapas. The tempura is also really well done and has some unique options - the camembert cheese is excellent and served with strawberry jam. I also liked the edible chrysanthemum (would avoid the kelp though). Located in a quiet street, right across from the railroad tracks (got a little lost as google maps did not work well in that area, but luckily we had a security guard point us the right way). Beautiful ambience, although our table/private room was a little cramped for space. Not all of their staff is proficient in English.

Beautiful restaurant with each table in its own wooden niche in a very traditional style.
It is not as expensive as the atmosphere would lead you to believe.
They specialize in tofu but it is not a vegan or vegetarian restaurant. Some dishes are vegan though. Especially the desserts
There is an english menu.
Many many different dishes available so you get a little bit frustrated because you cannot try them all!

First of all it was full of smoke with no option for non-smoking area. Food was ok but nothing special and if you’re vegetarian almost no option, even if they’re advertising vegetarian friendly, but the worst was that we were asked to leave because of another booking, even if we didn’t finish our food yet... staff was very rude!

This was a great find alongside the tracks of Shibuya Station, with the privacy and atmosphere of a small Gompachi, but much more personality and excellent, healthy dining, starting with the avacado tofu, but all facets of meal and service surprisingly strong. Regional sake complemented the Lotus root tempura, fish and tofu varieties, and for a reasonable price for two. Accepts credit cards and reservations - no parking that I could see, and about 5 minute walk from main Shibuya exit, likely closer to south exit.

Even if you are not a fan of tofu, this place is a great place to visit and try the food that will open up your senses completely. I wasn’t aware how good is tofu before. Great cozy atmosphere as well! Big fan of tuna tartare with wasabi
