“Perfect Hotel in Tokyo”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 27, 2014

This hotel is frequented by musicians and models... so there's a great vibe there.

Breakfast is simple but awesome - mix of traditional Japanese and continental.

There's a washing machine/dryer in the rooms - awesome!

Right opposite is a 24hr convenience store - it's not the mighty Family Mart but it's just as good.

Loads of great restaurants and bars down the road. If you come out the hotel, cross the street and turn right, when you get to the next corner there's an awesome lunch bar run by a couple of senior gentlemen who prepare amazing food - there's usually a line every lunch time!

Short walk to Shibuya station and loads of bars, restaurants, love hotels, convenience stores etc on the way down... to the main Shibuya hub.

Would definitely stay here again.

There are many positives for this hotel. The staff is warm and friendly as expected in Japan. As our stay here was split into two parts the staff was more than happy to store some luggage/ shopping for us until we returned in two weeks. The double bedrooms are quite large for Tokyo with queen size beds, plenty of space to move around, separate toilet and bathroom. Also has microwave, basic stove and a washing machine/dryer (hotel provides 1 free detergent packet on arrival and 30 yen for additional packets). Free Wi-Fi with a good connection. No view from balcony but that was expected. Breakfast offers a decent range of western and Japanese options including eggs, cereal, soups, fish, sausages, meat/ vegetables and juices. The hotel is located in a quiet street in Shibuya and less than 10 min walk to Shibuya Crossing. This was ideal because you can escape the noise of Shibuya whilst having so many restaurants and shopping options only a short walk away. As mentioned by another reviewer we also took a shortcut to Shibuya Station via Mark City complex. Overall a great stay and would stay here again.

This hotel is on a quiet street in what can be noisy Shibuya and has all the basics. It is a good location for shopping and eating. Shibuya and Shinsen stations are close by. The room was a good size compared to some of the other hotels I have stayed in while visiting Tokyo. There is a cupboard for storing clothes and an area with a table and chairs to sit at. The bed I had was a double. WiFi is in each room and the connection was good. It has a microwave, some cutlery, kettle etc. Reasonable price for a room this size in Tokyo. Staff was friendly. The breakfast buffet is ok. A choice of Japanese or western food. There is no view to speak of. I would stay here again. The bathroom I had was a normal sized western style bathroom with a Japanese style toilet. I did not get a big Japanese style one like someone else mentioned. Did not know about that. A basic reasonably sized room in a good area with a good enough buffet and helpful staff. I would stay there again for a few nights.

The staff is very nice and will do what they can to help you. If you stay at least 7 days they will clean your room once. Rooms are not huge, but get the job done. It's about an 8 minute walk to shibuya station. I would recommend walking through the mark cith 4th floor restaurants as a short cut to shibuya station. Lots of places to eat and shop near by. Shibuya is the city to stay at if you want night life. Club womb is also very close to this hotel. The daily breakfast is decent, could be better.

Definitely exceeded my expectations:
1. Room was very large compared to most hotels in Tokyo (note: need to reserve this size at time of booking)
2. Full queen size bed
3. Ample room to move around and lots of storage space
4. Wonderful Japanese style bathroom where there is a washlet toilet and separate room for the shower with the bathtub next to the shower
5. Decent breakfast included in the price
6. Separate kitchen area with stovetop, microwave and fridge.

Excellent proximity to Shibuya station and shopping, shopping, shopping! The hotel is very basic and apartment like but was comfortable. I did have to pay extra at check in for an extra towel but it was a few cents, no big deal.

At one point the heat in the room quit working and it took three adults to decide that I would need to switch to a different room.

Next time in Tokyo will choose to pay more and have a room in a more high rise hotel with a good view. There is no view what so ever at this hotel.

Breakfast was very good!

It felt like a service apartment here, instead of a hotel. Located in a rather quiet area away from busy Shibuya. The room is spacious and comes equipped with a kitchenette + a simple assortment of cooking utensils and tableware. There is also a washing & dryer machine in the room. Amongst all the other hotels I stayed at in Japan, I think the staff here had the best command of English. English instructions for the a/c and air humidifier/purifier was provided upon check-in, which was useful for foreigners. The hotel is approx 10 mins walk from Shibuya station but if you are going to the hotel for the first time with your luggage, it is advisable to take the train to Shinsen Station instead (one station away from Shibuya, Tokyu Stay is <5 mins walk from Shinsen Station) as half of the walk from Shibuya is actually uphill! Breakfast was provided daily, a simple spread of Western and Japanese food.

Downside: if you stay 6 nights or less, room cleaning services are not offered. The staff will only change the towels for you daily.
