“Excellent start to our Japanese odyssey”
Reviewed May 24, 2013

There was a long queue but luckily we booked in advance. Ordered the yakitori - iberico pork, lotus root, beef rib, shiitake mushroom were highly recommended. We had some umeishu to wash it all down. Fantastic night out and really enjoyed this place.

“Terrific Place”
Reviewed May 24, 2013

This place is truly worth the visit. Very tradicional Japanese space, shoes are left on the entrance and you practically sit on the floor. The food was top notch. I can only recommend this place which is very near by Roppongi Hills.

“An experience, but over priced street food”
Reviewed May 23, 2013

It is an atmospheric yakitori joint, with really friendly and energetic waiters. Lots of shouting, laughter and good vibes. The night that I was there, there were a lot of tourists. Food-wise, however, is not great. It is not bad, either, but there are better places to eat skewered meat. The cover charge is more expensive than most places, and so is the food. Overall, I consider it an average restaurant in Tokyo.

“I agree, amazing experience....”
Reviewed May 10, 2013

Not to hard to find but you do have to plan it in advance.
A small place with an open kitchen and exposed skewers.. You can even sit on chairs outside/inside bar..
The ambiance is great, lots of people on a Friday night and very nice waiters, even though I am not sure if their screams are necessary or just of fun.. but they can get loud @ times and annoying..
The food is great.. best yakitori you can get, but it's not only chicken, we got some amazing meat, veggies, baby corn, peppers etc.. wonderful.. they decorated the place with 100's of Sake Bottle but they only offer 3 kinds, 2 for 900y and one for 700y.. and they only have one choice of Plum wine...
The first salad on the menu is very generous with a dressing that involves a raw egg!!
The sesame pudding is also great and that was the only dessert we had..
Finally the bill was 80$, which some might consider steep for some Yakitoris.. but I think it is worth it,, the food is good and the ambiance is great..

“Great dining experience”
Reviewed May 9, 2013

The smell of the food on the hibachi will draw you in, but the flavors and ambiance will keep you coming back. As the only westerner dining there and not being able to speak Japanese, it was a little difficult to order. Thankfully, I was seated at the grill next to a young couple who were more than willing to translate for me. Everything I tried was delicious, succulent and cooked to perfection. The staffed shouting back and forth across the narrow restaurant, skewered meat grilling on the hibachi and a wall of saki barrels all contribute to a unique sensory dining experience you won't find in most places. I highly recommend trying it out, but reserve ar risk not getting a seat. I just happened to get lucky the second night I walked by/
