Although thoroughly Japanese, this restaurant is relatively easy for foreigners to negotiate. Be prepared to treat it as a bit of a laugh and go in a group of friends (this is not date night material) Service is a bit slack and needs to be summoned - it helps if you have a Japanese speaker with you. Have lots of drinks - especially the cocktail with a preserved plum in the bottom of it - better still have some drinks before you get there and be prepared to wait. Try the cold Udon - weird but nice. This restaurant has an extensive sake list. I previously thought I hated sake, having tried it in the past, but this restaurant has several types and styles.
