“Best in Tokyo - Amazing Staff”
Reviewed May 16, 2010

This hotel is located in midtown Minato-ku, a business / international area. There are many great restaurants and izakayas. Ask the concierge for ramen recommendation. There is a ramen shop that is 5 min away and that the staff themselves frequents. It is out of this world. The hotel itself is new, modern and the staff goes out of their way to help you. I was there with my mom for 4 days and every day they greet us by name, give recommendations on where to eat and where to go, and at the end of the day, remembered to ask how we liked the restaurants / sights. If you can, get a room with a view of the Tokyo Tower. It looks great at night.

I have had the luxury of staying in many US Ritz Carlton hotels but the Tokyo Ritz is far superior to any of the US hotels. I was provided a room on the 48th floor with a million dollar view of the city. The contemporary decor is amazing, bathrooms are luxurious and everything appears new. To top it off the hotel is in close proximity to the Roppongi District which provides the best nightlife in Tokyo. Yes, it is expensive but you have to splurge every once in a while. Life is too short and this expenditure was worth every yen.

We stayed here for 2 nights. It is expensive but if you can get a good deal you should think about staying here. The views are absoloutely incredible and I reckon I have seen a lot of views. The rooms are spacious and they will let you sleep 2 adults and 2 children in one room. You are guaranteed a good nights sleep - comfy beds and black out curtains. Great service. Extremely helpful concierge. Take some smart clothes!

Had so much fun at this hotel. We stayed for 5 days and could have stayed longer. The staff were welcoming and approachable - they knew our names within the day and we all thought you cant be a person of mystery in this place. The concierge desk was the busiest we have ever seen of any hotel. Mayako the Chief Concierge was truly amazing so much so that we made a bee-line for the desk whenever she was on. Rooms are big, roomy, clean - had a view over to Mt Fuji. Glorious. We found a Dean and Deluca cafe in Midtown and headed there every morning for our coffee and toasted sandwich. Downsides of the hotel are poor cable television and unappealing breakfasts.

Spent three nights there Feb. 14-17 with my partner in a Club level suite and my partner's sister in a club-level deluxe room - fantastic city views in both. Both superb in decor, fit and finish - very contemporary, somewhat masculine (which suits us) with all bells and whistles but also warm and welcoming. We tend to be demanding on hotel service (reservations, travel arrangements, local questions, transport of things we buy, etc.) and the service here was awesome. For the last 15 years, I've been staying at the Park Hyatt (which is probably still my favorite hotel in the world). Picked this because the surrounding area was going to be a little more interesting for my partner and sister, who hadn't been in Tokyo before. Park Hyatt is still tops for me, but this is close and little bit warmer and softer. Breakfast buffet was very good, eggs benedict superb (I missed the Park Hyatt's nasi goreng). Best food was room service we got from their French restaurant. I like to run in the morning and while it didn't offer the nearby Yoyogi Park I run to from the PH, I was able to run around Akasaka Palace (4.25 miles total) and down to and around the Imperial Palace (8 mi total). Limousine Bus is an option; we splurged and had their Rolls pick us up at Narita. Pricey but wonderful, so decadently nice after a long flight.

The nice part is the internet in the room is free, so does gym and swimming pool.
The hotel is located in mid-town roppongi which gives you easy access to late night snacks. There is a supermarket Preece located in mid-town which opens 24 hours.

They say you get what you pay for and this could not be more true. A truly world class hotel situated in the heart of the Roppongi District (the nightlife area). Not to mention there is a mall at the bottom of the building which features a 7-11, a supermarket and other eats. The best part of this hotel is the view, it's the highest hotel in Tokyo and views that are amazing!
