Stayed 3 nights in September on a business trip. My first trip to Tokyo, and got this hotel recommended from colleagues - mainly due to size of rooms. I had a standard room and it was really spacious. Price is also very competitive compared to the more well-known hotel in the city. Staff was also very helpful with all the requests I had. It is not a luxury-hotel, but it is deinfetely one to recommend in Tokyo. I will use this next time I - without any doubt!

We had 2 different rooms for our 3 day stay. Both were spacious, one with a lounge area with couch and TV, and a queen size bed, the other with a kitchenette (microwave, sink), dining table and chairs and two very large single beds. Both rooms were very spacious, with more storage than most hotels. Stylish decor, good bathroom (shower over bath). Akasaka is a vibrant and interesting area with many good eating places, bars and supermarkets. Try the one next to entry 2 of Akasaka station (right by the lane at the side of the hotel). We bought a sumptuous spread, a bottle of good Aussie wine for one meal, for 2500 Yen. Fast Wifi, excellent service and easy access to everything make this hotel a great choice and good value.

I stayed with my 12 year old daughter at Hotel Avanshell in April. The rooms were so much larger than the typical Tokyo budget hotel, without an astronomical price. No smoking smell either! There is no restaurant in the hotel but there is breakfast available in the Italian restaurant next door. A Starbucks and Tullys are 2 mins/one block away at Akasaka Sacas, next to Akasaka subway station on the Chiyoda line.

I stayed in the twin bed room plus massaging chair, great! The room is spacious (equipped with the Bible) and clean and so is the toilet (equipped with shampoo, conditioner, soap, hair dryer, clean towels, bath robes, etc). The staffs are very helpful, giving information about public transportation and directions. The location is close to Akasaka station (Exit 2), it's just 3 minutes walking. Only the wifi connection on the sixth floor could not work well. They can help you to book the limousine bus to Haneda (JPY 1.100). The location of the limousine bus is 10 minutes walking at Ana Intercontinental Building, but you can go there by taxi (JPY 1.150). I definitely recommend this hotel to others although without breakfast. You can find a lot of restaurants, convenient stores, Burger King nearby the hotel.

Room Tip: Twin bed or Business room is quiet, spacious and comfortable

Coming from another hotel in Tokyo, we were amazed! The space is amazing, the neighborhood is lively and diverse...the staff is very friendly. The last time we were in Tokyo, we were at the Park Hyatt. My son wants to stay here for another 10 days!
