Great hotel with a great price. It is a U.S. Naval hotel so you will need an ID to get in. We also found it super convenient as it is close to the train station it was only a short walk. The restaurant was not over priced and it even had a small store for cloths and American items.

Everything was Awesome! This was our friends first visit and the New Sanyo did not fail!!!! Plan your vacation through Viator and relax knowing you will be pleased!!!! We can't say enough of how awesome the trip was! We will be taking our daughter and her hubby next!!!!!

Room tip: If military or retired...and going with friends...go with the family room...there are two!!!

The rooms were your average hotel rooms. They were nice and clean, but honestly I preferred the rooms in the Yokota Navy lodge because they had kitchenettes and a living room the beds were comfortable enough but the views left something to be desired.

The restaurants were all pretty good, standard government fare in the Emporium, a little like a good day in the chow hall. Hero's Italian was my go to for cheap eats, and it did that very well. The Fair Winds cocktail lounge was nice but devoid of spontaneous social life on the night I went, to be fair it was a wednesday night. Both Wellingtons and Kikuya were nice but expensive. My advice to you is, if you want a good steak skip Wellingtons and get it in America and if you want good Japanese, skip Kikuya, leave the hotel, and go get it from the source!

There is a pool, and it is wonderful. Make use of the gym, it is nice and will help keep you from getting travel aches.

Shopping is good but for gosh sakes it's TOKYO! get out on the street and shop.

Staff is helpful but lodging books up a year in advance, especially if you want a weekend.

Room tip: Views are cruddy everywhere I looked so ask for a room away from the elevators but near a water heater.

We stayed at this hotel for Thanksgiving and to visit Disneyland. While geographically distanced from Disney, it was a great hotel to get around to the other sites in Tokyo. The rooms were a nice size and cozy. They provided a crib for our son to sleep in as well. We really enjoyed the Thanksgiving Dinner and the Sunday Brunch. Both were not to miss.

Our entire experience was great from the time we made reservations until we left. The staff worked with us to get rooms when we wanted them,, gave great advice for transportation and sightseeing, held our luggage while we toured Japan, upgraded us when we came back, answered many questions, all with patience and good humor. The rooms were very nice and comfortable. The upgrade was a suite which allowed us some privacy for the first time in two weeks and was much appreciated. Location is excellent although local cabbie had trouble finding it. I had to call the hotel and they "walked" him to it. We look forward to staying there again.

Room tip: Be nice to the staff. No tips, just be nice.
