We had a great time at TEPIA. It's super easy to get to - next door to Jingu Stadium, short walk from Gaien-Mae station - and friendly faces meet you as soon as you walk in the door. It was quiet when we arrived, so we had some personal attention from one of the assistants (Rieko, whose English is very good). Even without that, they provide English leaflets explaining the exhibits.
My boys (10 and 11) and I loved the speech simulator, smile estimator, smart glasses (think Google glasses by Brother), air-powered glove (for people whose hand mobility is restricted by brain injury), driving simulator and mowing robot.
It's a smallish exhibition (by museum standards), but you'll see some amazing inventions, and others you've already become familiar with.
