Went to the mall and wasn't disappointed. I also went to the Gundam cafe and saw the HUGE gundam they have there (great for fans and kids alike). Got to ride the monorail and see rainbow bridge, statue of liberty replica and old tokyo tower

Odaiba is definitely a must visit destination while you are in Tokyo for a holiday! Try to catch the amazing views while you are on the way either via train or by a cab. Fuji TV building, The freedom flame, the small statue of liberty, broadcasting center, the rainbow bridge (at night) and palette are must visit places in Odaiba.

I took the Tokyo water bus from Asakusa to Odaiba and was pleasantly surprised. The water bus itself is a sight to see, and many sights to see along the river ride to Odaiba. Once there you will find 2 shopping malls as well as the Toyota showroom(very cool) and a giant ferris wheel. You can take a subway to many areas to/from Odaiba.

We travelled to Odaiba today as it was very rainy and cold so we thought it would be a safe bet as we assumed everything would be inside. The train ride took quite a while from Shinjuku, and trying to get the monorail back was crazy - we had to wait for the fourth train before we could squeeze in somewhere. It is about a five minute walk to Decks from the station. We were hungry and settled for the Ocean Shores Buffet Restaurant. I am not a fan of buffets but this one was reasonable. It included a selection of western, Asian, sushi and desserts all for around ¥1770. This is not cheap for Tokyo, but it isn't too expensive either. Decks was packed with locals and not many tourists. We went for a walk around after lunch but gave the attractions like Legoland and Joypolis a miss as they were quite expensive to visit. We also visited the Cat Cafe which was probably the weirdest experience of my life - it was ¥12000 per person for one hour in the cafe plus one drink. We decided to forgo to entry and just had look around the cat store, peaked through windows and listened to creepy cat music. I feel that you aren't missing out on much if you don't make it to Odaiba. The stores are pretty cool to look through but it isn't anything you wouldn't find anywhere else.

Odaiba is great for manga, game and anime lovers! There are comic conventions and a multitude of manga and book shops, as well as a multitude of cool souvenir stores. There is also a spa hotel, and the scenery is nice.
