“Old but worthwhile”

A great view of the city from the top, certainly worth a visit. The new Sky Tree is a great addition but the Tokyo Tower retains its charm

“TOKYO TOWER”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 14, 2013

Visiting on a clear day is worth both the time and the money. The entrance is a tad amusing being a floor below the entrance from the street and the information girl was NOT helpful in obtaining access info or anything else...could NOT speak nor understand English! This is the INFORMATION DESK. That being aside, the view from the observation desk worthwhile, even though the workmen had the nets up, covering the view on a couple sides ... access to higher platform also closed at this time.
Much cleaner than Empire State Building or the EIFFEL Tower by comparison.
Be sure to stop in at Baskins and Robbins on the main floor for refreshments and a scoop or two.

“Very Kitsch!”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 12, 2013

Modeled after the Eiffel Tower in Paris, the Tokyo Tower no longer draws the crowds it once did because of the newly built Sky Tree. We showed up on a Saturday morning, paid for our ticket and climbed on the elevator. The tower has two observation decks...one at 489 ft. and one at 814 ft. We paid for the lower one and it was more than adequate. Unfortunately, the place is loaded with tacky souvenir shops and lots of small-time attractions that appeal mainly to children.

Great views of Tokyo, and short wait to get to top. Well worth a visit, and a good price for the ticket
