“Small room but well kitted out and in a good location for exploring”
Reviewed June 3, 2010

The hotel is situated between Ayoama Itchome Station and Nogizaka Station (both a 5 min.walk). Very close to the Roppongi district where you can go up the Mori Tower for a bird's eye view of Tokyo. The rooms are small ( a double is about 15 square metres) and the bathroom make you feel as if you are on an aircraft, very compact and plasticky. Despite the dimensions the room has everything one needs: tv, kettle, hairdrier, internet access, bath slippers). The receptionists were exceptionally helpful and spoke v.good English. In the lobbby you can help yourself to free chilled bottles of water, toothbrush set, razor, and even a hairbrush. Breakfast includes the continental style, the full English and the Japanese (miso soup, grilled salmon, rice, pickles). No free internet in the lobby, 100yen gives you just 10min. of use. Overall a clean and nice place to stay .

Rooms - Our room was very small. 1 double bed, a small closet, desk, bar fridge and small TV. There wasn't much room to store our luggage so we just pushed it up against the wall and made due. The bathroom was tiny (similar to those on a cruise ship) with a toilet, sink, shower tub combination. The water pressure in the shower was amazing .

The staff were somewhat helpful in getting around the area, but the rooms were TINY. For as much as we were paying, in what was considered to be a room big enough for two people, it was certainly not what we were hoping for. The location is pretty close to the subway, and is within walking distance to Roppongi, a great area with lots to do, if you like walking, which we really did. The breakfast was really really good, and came with the room, so this was definitely an appeasement. If you don't mind showering in a room that is smaller than most bathroom stalls, then this place could work for you. We weren't in our room very much and stayed for four nights so it wasn't so bad for us. Definitely manageable.

This is by no means a luxury hotel - and don't expect any room service - but it's a super friendly and centrally located place that offers real value for money. The rooms are quite small and pretty basic, but are spotlessly clean as is the rest of the hotel. Staff speak excellent English and have good knowledge of the local area (and can supply a very cute hand drawn map!). The reasonably priced buffet breakfast is also good value for money.

For me, the biggest plus points were a firm, comfortable bed and a location close to a subway station on the Ginza line. This makes sightseeing, shopping and visiting bars and restaurants really easy. There's not much in the way of nightlife in the immediate vicinity, but you're only 3 subway stops from Shibuya, or if you prefer, the bars and clubs of Roppongi are about a 15 minute walk away (though personally, I'd say Roppongi was the one place in Tokyo that it's better to steer well clear of). I'll definitely be staying at Asia Centre of Japan next time I visit Tokyo.

This is a great hotel with a nice reception, friendly English speaking staff. The breakfast was good and free to guests. Free hairbrushes, toothbrushes and water bottles. They had a hairdryer in the room. The room was clean and quiet- no traffic noise. Just slightly dated decor which wasn't important for us and was reflected on the hotel website photos. 5 minute walk to two subway stations.

Will be returning to Tokyo this month and will stay at another property only because of proximity to event I'll be attending. Otherwise, I'd return here in an instant.
Small dated room. Firm but nice bed. Spotlessly clean. Good breakfast. Great service by front desk staff. Staff speaks English well which was helpful. Complimentary toiletries and water.
It's on a quiet street but an easy walk to Roppongi or subway.
I would highly reccomend this hotel.
