Loved this hotel. Every inch was clean elegant and calming we loved the calm and quiet atmosphere. The location was convenient very easy to Kamiyacho Tokyo metro station on hibiya line. Loved the room size and attention to details.

Coming from the West you can imagine I would be nervous about arriving in Japan and having a language barrier but The Hotel Okura made all the difference in my trip to Japan! Hotel Okura staff went above and beyond to welcome me in Japan. There is a limousine bus from the airport door that takes you directly to The Hotel Okura doors and you are immediately welcomed by a warm and inviting staff. The buffet breakfast is a must have! Make the time to enjoy the breakfast for at least an hour. A calm and delicious space with all the trimmings. Visit the concierge and out you go to visit the memorable shrines and spectacular shopping sites.

If you plan to eat at the Okura restaurant on the second floor be prepared for a delicious feast. They have a great Chef!

Room Tip: Perfect room control. Guest are very polished.

It is an old classic hotel but rooms and common areas are very clean and well maintained.
Reception and concierge were very friendly and helpful.
They have bellgirls instead of bellboys and they were very strong to carry heavy bags and politely refused any assistance from my husband.
The hotel provided a comfortable crib for my baby.
They also had an awesome free internet, map, international calling device "Handy" in the room which really made our trip in the city easier.
The only downside for me was the location of the hotel. Despite being in the centre of Tokyo Minato area, it was right in the middle of several stations. It was good 10 to 15 minutes walk to each station. Especially the hotel is located on a hill, and it can get tiring with a baby stroller or in rain and heat. Also there is US Embassy nearby and the securities block the roads in front and you may have to go around. Too bad the hotel only runs shuttles to a station on weekends.

We would like to extend our heartfelt appreciation for your staying at Hotel Okura Tokyo during your recent visit to Japan. Thank you very much for your warm comments to our bellgirls. But we were sorry to hear that on this occasion we failed to meet your expectations regarding the to shuttles to a station. We will definitely address the problems you pointed out to further improve our facilities and services. Thank you again for your review, we look forward to welcoming you back soon.

Lovely, large hotel room. Excellent for families with small kids. Quintessential Japanese service - best hotel staff we have encountered in Tokyo or even Japan. We have stayed in more expensive but far worse hotels in Tokyo. Will definitely be back.
