“Very good business hotel”
Reviewed October 7, 2013

I transferred to the ANA for three nights after a disastrous stay at the Keio Plaza (see my review of that night listed separately....). The ANA is well located, very comfortable, well appointed rooms, good gym, decent breakfast (although WILDLY over-priced food - why is breakfast in Tokyo so expensive??), lively upstairs bar and if you're interested in exploring it, within 20 minutes' walk of Roppongi Crossing. The staff were all pleasant and helpful. All in all a good stay, and I would definitely stay here again.

This is one of the better InterContinental Hotels I've stayed at. Lounge is superb. Both breakfast and evening happy hour are of great variety along with superb service. Room we got upgraded to was also very nice. Location wise, it is right around the corner of a subway station. US Embassy is within walking distance. I got my passport pages added right there in a matter of an hour. If we ever return to Tokyo, this hotel is it!!!

Room Tip: Pay a little more to get lounge access. You will not regret it.

Looking for a hotel in the centre of the action, that's good for sophisticated tourists as well as business boys and girls, that has sufficient entertainment and F&B venues that you don't have to leave the hotel foe a week? This is it.

Very goog value for the price, central hotel in Tokyo. Nice restaurants and breakfast, may need some refurbishment but nothing too bad. Spacious bedrooms. Extremely clean hotel, excellent service. Late 80's still hotel but everything works perfectly. Breakfast actually quite unbelievable

Hotel is a nice property with well appointed rooms and attentive service. Dined at several of the restaurants (Cascade, Sushi Kensan, and The Steakhouse). Food was average to disappointing, most disappointing wasThe Steakhouse. Ordered and received a drink, but not offered water. I was offered bread but it never came, noted next table got bread after entree was delivered - no butter. Ordered a cheese board for an appetizer and the Waygu sirloin came with the meal, both arrived at the same time, the cheese came without crackers or bread. The sirloin, ordered medium, came well done and was only 1/2" thick (or less); had better steak at Longhorn. Sides were spinach, grilled vegetables and mashed potatoes, all well below par. Sat for a while until I could get the servers attention and asked for crackers to eat with the bland cheese board. Ten minutes later I had two slices of bread, and no offer of another drink, water, or dessert. Front of the house seemed disorganized.

Our second hotel in Tokyo after Westin. Very different! Much busier and business like, more traffic and general city life. But room was quiet, all right but on the smaller side, same said for the bathroom.
We did not eat in the hotel...expensive..and ventured out ...great small korean restaurant in the opposite street(and cheap) and great prime beef restaurant opposite the hotel(and expensive but worth it!).
We did go to the champagne bar for the happy hour(prepare yourself for japanese prices) as the drinks were half price. And that was nice and welcome.
Starbucks across the road for breakfast did just fine and tube station right next to the hotel. If you need water or snack there are plenty of small shops around.

In my last review I stated the check in and out was efficiently fast but this time it was the opposite. It was 30 minutes for me to check in. Well partly it was my fault as I did not brought my agoda voucher and partly apparently Agoda had my name as Da Garcia Da Garcia. Mmmmm... I guess it is much better than a flight attendant on my return flight from Osaka to Singapore wherein she addressed me as Miss Gaga mmmmmm...

This hotel still remains my favourite because of the gym (but of course) but also the locality especially to Haneda Airport. Roppongi is a definitely a great area and one can run outside on a good day.

Room Tip: Rooms at most Japanese hotels are small and one needs to ask for a Executive Room or a king sized be...
