“Good business Hotel”
Reviewed July 23, 2013

I am frequently staying here since 2005. Back then it used to be the Meridian Pacific. For Tokyo standards the rooms are relatively large and especially the renovated superior rooms are very recommendable. Breakfast used to better in the past, but is still OK. Best part is the proximity to Shinagawa station which is just across the street.

Room Tip: superior rooms are renovated.

Like many other reviewers this is more of a business hotel. However given the proximity to Shinagawa train station it could be a good tourist hotel as well. Breakfast is pretty typical for JP business hotel. I think the food choices are good and I found things like fresh fruit and hot foods that worked for me. Plenty of other food choices in the hotel and across the street. One downside was that it lacks a gym. Otherwise I would stay there again.

I chose this one ONLY because it is located at Shinagawa station - arrived late evening to Haneda airport, which is less than 20 minutes on Keikyu line. Other than this - there's no good reason to stay there. It is huge, quite old, not really comfortable - but also not too bad. Average.

Conveniently located next to Shinagawa station this hotel spreads the rustic charm of communist accommodation – in the heart of Tokyo slightly misplaced. The receptions resembles a conveyor belt, the rooms are fairly run down. Good though are the wide window sills. Sitting there you enjoy a stunning view. Breakfast is best to be avoided for the European stomach at least. The quality is good though, just the choice on offer is special (tuna salad, raw fish and miso soup)

The beds are small even for Japanese but the room is very quiet.

As you cannot avoid the shower just live with the beige plastic.

This seems to be a business hotel in the hub of Shinagawa town near Tokyo. The location is good as the MRT is just next door. No room service or porters in sight and I guess that it is the same all over Japan considering the high cost of labour. The rooms were decent and the bathroom full of Gizmos. You had to pay a charge for even an extra towel, in case if you order. I never got to see any hotel employee apart from the ones at the back of reception and the buffet area. The breakfast was lavish but not a single dish for a hard core vegetarian like me. Though I am comfortable with egg, I was astonished not to find any option of omelette.

Fantastic location, right next to the station. Heaps of close food places, interesting pachinko, and easy to walk to. Luxury room we booked at the last minute. A double room contained a queen bed. Easy check in and out, and friendly helpful staff. Stay here!

We stayed in a very spacious room- 2 beds, Shiseido toiletries in the bathroom, a hair drier, bath robes; lots of closet space. Excellent large breakfast buffet -Japaneese and international. Opposite Sinjuku train station (subway, JR, shinkansen). Airport Limousine bus stops in front of the hotel. Lost of places to eat, both fancy and regular. Convenient but quiet.
