While being abroad for two weeks, all I was craving was a little taste of home. Pizzakaya was not only one of the best meals I had in Tokyo, but some of the best pizza I've ever had. We were drawn in by the promise of "American Pizza and Craft Beer" outside which led us to the small but vibrant restaurant on the second floor. The quaint restaurant plastered with retro americana "artwork" was welcoming and wildly entertaining. The "set" option is perfect for groups, it allowed us to try 3 delicious appetizers, 3 very fresh salads, and 3 perfectly crispy pizzas. The menu offers great variety and unique pizzas sure to please anyone. Everything was reasonably priced, by Tokyo standards, and Overall, dinner at Pizzakaya was a great night out and "must-eat" for anyone staying in the Roppongi area.

A group of seven of us stumbled upon this little slice of America and couldn't have been more impressed. It was the sign that drew us and rescued us from walking around all night. We were able to all share a variety of things and enjoyed each and every one. The portions were the perfect size, and we all left with full bellies unlike other restaurants we had visited. The staff was incredibly friendly and very accommodating to our large party. They were very fast at getting the food out to us. We were very glad to find a place where English was being spoken. I highly recommend this restaurant if you like pizza and beer. It was by far one of the best food experiences I had in Tokyo. We were also delighted by the TV that played American music videos. We had a blast trying to remember who sang each song. All in all it was a terrific place to eat.

The owner is super friendly and the food is great too. The garlic balls are super fresh and hot. The pizza was amazing as well especially since it came straight from the oven. Great for vegetarians.

Well, we were craving North American pizza and beer. We got it and it was delicious. But the TV blaring a movie was horrible. We were able to find a corner table away from the cacophony but I just don't understand it. American pizza joints don't have stupid movies blasting for ALL patrons to have to listen to. We were scoping put for a pizza party, but we will keep liokking. Oh well, it was still really good pizza and really good beer. Bring your money, it's expensive!

Pizzakaya is a godsend in a country where it is hard to find decent pizza.

The menu has a great selection, even catering to the vegetarian crowd. We visit often & tend to stick to our staple 'make your own' pizza of pepperoni, black olives & mushrooms & always order a LARGE one so we can take a few slices home. NB - the pizza tastes amazing, cold, for breakfast.

The restaurant is colourful, relaxed & informal. If you haven't been before try the Hell Fire Meat Balls starter for an induction. It will be HELL FIRE which you will either love or steer clear of for your next visit. Spicy!

There is a great selection of craft beers which tend to go down far too quickly. Normally we stick to the decent collection of red wine. Service is good, friendly with a smile. Sometimes it can get quite busy, in which case, just shout. The owner, Derek, will always hear & jump to your assistance.

Enjoy!
