This café features sophisticated NY style American cuisine. Its interior of restaurant was modern design, and there were outdoor seating. At lunchtime Western courses, pasta, burgers were offered. I ordered a sandwich, and I was satisfied with its large volume and healthy taste.

We couldn't resist visiting Tokyo's version of our favorite NYC bistro. It didn't disappoint ... well, mostly didn't disappoint. We were both sad that the USC's signature Tuna Burger wasn't on the menu. Which surprised us since seafood is abundant there ... but other than that, the food was great, the service was good and the ambiance was perfect.

We were 4 for lunch. The club salad was rich and delicious. I had a grilled tuna that was perfectly done.
The cheesecake was excellent.

What food I had was reasonable however, when you wait over an hour for your main course to arrive you lose interest.
Service was dreadful and given Japanese standards unacceptable

Midtown is a relatively new area in Tokyo. It opened in 2007 and was years in the making. It’s a short walk from Roppongi station. You can even walk to it underground. If you go above ground, you can’t miss it because it has the 2nd largest building in Tokyo. Midtown is really a complex of buildings and shops and it is a bit of a maze to find the restaurant but signage is plentiful and there are information booths that speak English.
Union Square is a very fine restaurant and leans to American style dishes with a French flair. We tried the Wagyu beef tenderloin and it was fabulous. They serve it in various portion sizes and yes it is expensive but it might on your bucket list to try it. The menu has many choices including dinner plates that were quite tempting. They have lots of appetizers and a few salads to choose from as well. We were impressed with the service and the presentation.
Desserts were equally terrific. The restaurant has a great bar and an impressive wine list that is actually affordable in many cases. We loved the restaurant and the service and we will be back.
