Is ok. A typical Italian resto which made good Gluten free pasta. They made very good Gluten Free buns. Starter Fish Carpaccio and Caprese were average. Wine by the glass were all generously poured which we were impressed. Quality of wine is good at Yen 1,300-1,700 per glass. Gluten free Chocolate cake is yummy. My main course fish was a bit too salty. Partner's gluten free pasta was great portion, texture of pasta was good but overall really nothing to shout about. Service was impeccable. Owner is very friendly and ensure if you've an allergy is taken care of. Ambience is nice and tables spread out nicely. Overall is an average resto with fantastic service.

This is the second time I have been at Mari e Monti, with friends and my wife and it again was a wonderful experience. From the way you are welcomed as a guest and treated throughout dinner to the quality of the food. There is a menu but I recommend people just to follow the lead of the 2 owners who have a variety of choices of the day. Starters, pasta, fish and meat are just great and the winelist to go with it has a broad variety at good prices. So if you are looking for a great Italian in Tokyo, this is the place to go.

My wife and I recently had dinner while on holiday. The restaurant is owned by 2 long time Italian residents of Tokyo. The food was all fresh and tasty (bread, caprese salad, grilled fish, roasted potatoes and vegetables). A lovely bottle of Tuscan red wine was recommended and enjoyed. All up 18,000 yen.

Simply put this is the best Italian Restaurant in Tokyo if not Asia.. I have been coming here for about 2 years now. They have a menu but I have never ordered from it. Luca or Cosimo the proprietors usually come over with a trolly with everything laid out and the proceed to explain how they can cook it. My advise is simply to tell them of any dietary restrictions and then order what ever they recommend . You will not be disappointed. Likewise with your choice of wine. They also make great use of the seasonally available produce. When in season my favourite dish is the white asparagus with poached egg. If you live in Tokyo this will be a place that will become one of your favourite places to come to. If a visitor this is one of the best restaurants in Tokyo

My partner is coeliac which makes dining in Japan quite tricky. We lucked upon this restaurant last night and the owner had plenty of gluten free options on offer for us and was extremely accommodating. He has gluten free family members so understands what you can and can't eat. The food was delicious and the service was impeccable and the Italian owner speaks fluent English. We had a stress free evening with delicious food and wine. Highly recommended.
