Just a block away from Mitsukoshimae station, this understated French bistro made a dent first with its wine list. Very impressed with their collection of amber wine selection at this causal eatery, out Italian amber wine went perfect with the freshly smoked potatoes wedges which arrived at our table like a commercial bag of potato chips, but smoke fuming out as we unwrapped it.
The garden vegetables brought back the fond memory of the 50 shades of green at L’Effervercence. Mushroom topped with melted cheese was dintily presented, and so did the fennel octopus salad with Japanese grapefruit vinegar. The real surprise came from the risotto - an unassuming scoop of rice surrounded with such an intensive fish broth. Duo mains of asparagus with fish and roasted pork followed by duo dessert brought a perfect ending to the evening.
