“Good value!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 2, 2013

a few minutes walk from two subway stations (Higashi-ginza or Tsukiji) and a block away to Tsukiji Jogai Shijo (Market outside of the market) so very convenient to get there early in the morning. You can even come back to the hotel before 10:00, the check-out time. The hotel price was including breakfast so I had it there around 8, walked to the Jogai and the market for sight-seeing. I didn't spent much time there because I didn't take any photos at all. If you would like to spend enough time there and walk to Hama-rikyu Gardens in Shiodome, it would be a very nice morning walk. From the Tsukiji market to the gardens, it is about 20minutes.

The location is fantastic. The hotel room is small, but clean. Wifi connection was not good. There is no instruction either in English or in Japanese to use wi-fi in the room, but there are two lap-tops on the gound floor for guests for free. They don't charge any for keeping bags. Staff are helpful. Overall, it is a nice option if you like to experience the fish market and the area in the morning.

Stayed in this hotel for five days. Paid Yen168000 per night for double room.
Overall this hotel is clean, but because of its small size, felt quite cramp.

The staffs (who was on duty on 6 April 2013) did not have adequate knowledge on tour options outside Tokyo. I asked them to give me options for day trip tour outside Tokyo but they could not answer me. They also did not have list on English-speaking tour guides located around the hotel's area or the travel agent's phone numbers. I was given wrong information on this matter which wasted a lot of my time and effort. They asked me to go and see a travel agent called HIS which was quite a walking distance from the hotel, only to find out that they (HIS) did not have such service. Then they asked me to go to another one but i lost my trust. In the end i did get want i wanted.

Then on my last day of stay (11 April 2013) i asked for information to go to Tokyo Central Airport Terminal (TCAT) to catch a bus limousine to go to Narita Airport. The girl at the reception took out a map and marked on it and told me that i showed to the taxi driver. The taxi driver took us to the nearest hotel to catch the bus limousine, if i am not mistaken, the name of the hotel was Tobu Hotel. What a mistake it was!

Luckily i asked the concierge at Tobu Hotel about the limousine! He (the concierge) told me that unless you have a reservation for the airport bus limousine, you can't just appear and hope to get a place in it. Most of the time he said, it will be full. There you are. Eventually i have to get another taxi to go to TCAT. What a waste of time and money.

Another thing is, i really hope that the hotel will give more English language signs and notices in the hotel area. I was just curios about the contents of those notices in Japanese pasted there.

Breakfast provided by the hotel was quite adequate. But if you stay for five days, well it became really boring - even though it was provided free of charge. The menu stayed the same except for the salad, in which it alternated between macaroni salad and potato salad.

Good things about this hotel:
1. Has washing machine and drier for guests use at its 8th floor (washing for 30 minutes 300 Yen, drying 200 Yen. But if your clothes are thick you need more money to dry your clothes.
2. Provides room slipper and night robes
3. Located quite central in Tokyo and within walking distance to Ginza and Hibiya Lines
4. Near Tsukiji Market and Kabuki Za Theater

Room Tip: The room where i stayed (Room 1222) was alright. It was located on a non-smoking floor.

Keio Presso Inn is just awesome. Was there for 4 days. Very Clean rooms with regular cleaning when you are out. There's high speed internet in the rooms. The rooms are comfy. Its very close to the metro station and from there it is easy to travel anywhere.
The staff are super helpful. Even though they may not necessarily understand your english, but if you write it to them, they'll help you. Moreover, they will have atleast one person on the desk who knows english, so don't worry.
The breakfast is just AWESOME. The price is the cheapest you could find for single rooms. The fish market nearby is brilliant. Also, for dinner (if you are a single tourist like me or boring like me) try the nearby places. There is a restaurant called Saizeria, which offers cheap food...but wonderfully delicious. Continental food in Japan is really a treat !!!
Plus if you need help getting anywhere in Tokyo, just ask the staff...they'll provide you maps with directions and instructions to get there in a way that even a baby would get there.

Keio Presso Inn chain does not offer any extras, but what they do offer is a VERY clean room with an efficient breakfast at excellent prices in central Tokyo locations. I stayed at the Higashi-Ginza location for 2 nights. The location is very convenient to the Tokyo Metro station Higashi-Ginza and Ginza. It is around the corner from Tsukiji market. Just behind the hotel are some of the best little joints for sushi in Tokyo. Almost all Keio Presso Inns are listed on subway exit maps making them very easy to find. Check-in time begins at 3 pm, but they will hold your bag for no fee if you arrive earlier. The rooms are small, but there is plenty of room for one medium size bag and space to hang clothes in a small closet area. The bathroom is small but efficient. Of course it includes a Japanese style toilet with built in bidet. The windows open for fresh air and have full blackout panels to pull at night. In the winter the room has a heater option. In summer it functions as air conditioning. You must purchase a card at 1000 Yen to watch tv or use the phone. They do have washer and dryer on site if you need. Also vending machines available 24/7. There are three Lawson stores (similar to 7-11) very close by. Breakfast is served from 6:30 - 9:30 and is very simple — 3 types of roll options (crossiant, white roll, raisin roll), coleslaw salad with dressing, soup, orange juice and coffee. The key cards for the rooms are printed on paper so they do not de-magnitize which is great and the room number is on them so you will not forget. You do need your key for lights/electrical to work in room so you can't leave electronics charging when you are not there. You pay at check-in and they do accept credit card. In order to book the room you must call or fax them. They do not require credit card for reservation. There is simply no better option for budget travel in Tokyo.

I just spent one night at the Ginza Presso Inn, and it was great! The website is very accurate when describing this room--it's small. But there's room for everything, including luggage.

The room is very clean, the staff are very friendly, and most of all, the room has a soft bed, soft pillow and is quiet! Compared to sleeping for a month on hard Chinese beds, the bed and pillow were wonderful!

The Presso Inn in Ginza is only a block away from the world-famous Tsujiki Fish Market, and is conveniently located next to a world-class shopping district. A wonderful Buddhist temple is located a block away in the other direction. Everything is within walking distance, including the subways, and the Tokyo Station is a short cab drive away.

The Presso Inn Ginza is a short cab drive from the last limosine bus stop from Narita Airport, which is at the Marriott Courtyard. The bus counter is by the customs exit at the airport. Just show the map printout from the Presso Inn's website when arriving at the Marriott to get a cab, and be sure to take the Presso Inn's phone number to help the cabdriver (most cabs now have GPS, so can get you right to the Presso Inn by entering the number).

I highly recommend this hotel for travelers and businesspeople. Because of it's size, it's probably not a great place to hang out inside, but then, you're in the Ginza District! Go out, explore and have fun!
