“Great affordable hotel near the Tsukiji Fish Market and Ginza”
Reviewed March 24, 2010

Stayed here for 2 nights at the beginning of our trip to Japan. It is definitely a great home base to explore Tsukiji Fish Market and Ginza both accessible by walking. It takes about 5 minutes to walk to the Tsukiji Fish Market and 15 minute walk to Ginza district for a healthy mid 20's couple (compare accordingly).

The hotel itself is split up into two separate entities. We stayed in the newer annex complex which was fantastic. The staff at the front desk were very helpful and spoke enough English to help you with what you needed. Booked the couples package which had free breakfast included for each night you stayed and free 1000 minutes of good quality Japanese television per person if you can understand the language.

The room itself was small even by Japan standards but was impeccably clean, quiet and had all required amenities. The bed was comfortable (warning: most of Asia uses harder beds than their American counterparts) although a bit on the smaller side for two people.

Staying here for 2 nights was a great pleasure and for the rate I received it at (booked right off their website - 100cdn dollars a night) was unmatchable to similar quality hotels in the same area. They also had a free shuttle to Tokyo station when we checked out.

Recommend for: Travelers who want to explore Tsukiji Fish Market and Ginza and want to be relatively nearby. Great for your first few nights in Tokyo as most people coming from the West are jet lagged and are able to wake up early on the first morning to see the Tsukiji Fish Market.

Not Recommended for: Anyone who has problems with small hotel rooms or small bathrooms. Although other parts of Tokyo are accessible by subway or JR, other living arrangements could be made to explore these areas more conveniently.

Best way to get here from Narita Airport: Have the Airport Limousine drop you off at T-CAT and take a taxi to this hotel. Alternatively, taking the metro to Shintomicho station would suffice.

This review is for the Annex building (around the corner from the main building).

This is a wonderful little business hotel in a prime location in Tokyo. The location is very good, particularly considering the price, barely 10 minutes walk from the Ginza strip, and close to the subway - even Tokyo station is within walking distance.

The rooms are small but functional - the pre-fabricated bathroom is a marvel of engineering and gets the job done well. The bed was comfortable and the internet connection was fast. The only real downside to this hotel was a bit of traffic noise from outside (particularly in the morning, at night it was very quiet).

The staff were very friendly and efficient. I would gladly stay there again and in fact was quite dissapointed when the hotel was booked out for my trip through Tokyo on the way home (later in the same week).

I got a very good bargain. Stay 1 night at Ginza Capital Hotel Annex only JPY 5250 as published in their website.
Small room with comfort bed, clean bathroom and good shower. No view from the window.
Thin wall, you can hear the guest in the next room chatting.
Free Hato Bus shuttle to Tokyo Station every morning, get the ticket from the front office on the day of departure.
Very near to Tsukiji. Check out the Outer Market and take the breakfast there.
