This quite-new property is definitely up to Mandarin standards. Whilst the formal spaces are as grand as you'd expect, it is really the efficient and caring service that sets the tone. As non-Japanese-speaking travelers to Japan know, this is one city where the concierge desk can make the difference and the team here was spot on, with prompt responses to pre-trip inquiries, good communication about what to expect (quality of seats in a venue, for example), and a no-question-too-small attitude.
Rooms are large for Tokyo. The breakfast buffet is extraordinarily good with an array of Japanese, Chinese, and Western choices, and every piece of fruit arranged just so. The gym is excellent. Sadly, I did not get to the spa, which looks great.
