Booked 4 nights with Accor and used the card for breakfasts. A little hotel on a corner. The room was a good size had a desk and armchair. Bathroom was large and well equiped. It felt homely and it was extremely quiet never heard anyone. Free wifi in the rooms (essential) It has a French restaurant serving outstanding food. The breakfasts were excellent and of high quality. The staff were patient and accommodating they sent out luggage to the airport for us. So happy to have selected this hotel, the location was amazing most beautiful stores and streets. We will definately be returning.

I love the location of this hotel. It is just two blocks away from the main Ginza shopping strip but, very peaceful and quiet in this area. There are several convenient stores that sells almost everything that you will need for your stay including food. What is nice about the area are the local restaurants that serve tempura sets, udon and soba noodles, curry, tonkatsu and yakitori at very reasonable prices. If you are tired of eating all these Japanese food, there is a Mc Donald's store right beside the hotel.

The rooms are well maintained and clean. The size of the room is comfortable considering that the rooms in Tokyo are generally smaller. Close to the train stations, a few blocks away from the JR line and the Tokyo station.

Dear Vivian (If I may),

Thank you so much for this lovely message you left on tripadvisor for us. this is the best we can dream of.... a happy guest and good service provided by our teams. It is true that the hotel is close to lots of places of interest..restaurants, bars, small supermarkets and food stores etc...
It helps our guests to be at their ease in the city. At the same time, being in the city might make people think that the hotel is noisy...but as our insulation is perefct, you can sleep in a peaceful atmosphere. It is quiet.
Thank you once more for your comments hoping to welcome you again in Tokyo at Mercure Ginza Hotel.

My best regards

Nice sized rooms with good Beds. Make sure you don't get on a floor above a smoking floor, it leaks through the place and stinks. Ginza is a great location to be in for the buzz of Tokyo and easy access to everywhere. Lacks a good variety of restaurants though.

Room Tip: Dont get a room on or above the smokers floor.

This hotel is hidden in a back street, the room are quite large for Tokyo and very well maintain. We spend 5 nights, the service each day was perfect and all the staff very friendly.
The breakfast room has limited seats, best to go early if you do not want to wait.

I visited Tokyo in Dec 2012 and Feb 2013 and stayed at the Mercure Tokyo Ginza both times.

This hotel is conveniently located in the heart of Ginza and within walking distance of several major subway stations including the Ginza Station. In addition, the friendly staff at the hotel will provide help giving you directions to the subway stations as well as tourists attractions within the area, which of course includes the Tsukiji Fish Market.

Most of the staff speaks English. So, if you can't converse in Japanese, language is definitely not an issue when staying at this hotel.

The rooms are small but comfortable. Housekeeping is good and everything in the room is clean and functional. Complimentary free wifi is provided at the lobby for guests. Also, complimentary copies of the International Herald Tribune and the Asahi Shimbun newspapers are provided at every floor on a daily basis while stocks last!

If you are looking for a good and centrally located hotel in Tokyo at a reasonable price, pick the Mercure Tokyo Ginza. You can't go wrong with this choice.

Room Tip: Rooms away from the lift lobbies are quieter

I have stayed at the Mercure Tokyo Ginza hotel three times. Once on a previous trip, and twice on the last one. It is very close to the Ginza district and within walking distance of Tokyo Station, which means that it is also accessible by the Keisi Sky Liner to and from Narita Airport. The Mercure hotel chain is owned by a French multinational corporation, Accor, and this influence is apparent in the hotel restaurant for breakfast and dinner - both of which are quite good. The rooms are decent sized for accommodations in Japan, but they vary a bit with the price. Naturally, the price also varies with the day of the week and the season, so try to stay in mid-week and away from holidays. The hotel seems to cater to western clientele. The desk staff speak English well and can be quite helpful.

Room Tip: Rooms above the 4th floor have more light; all floors require a room key for access from the elevato...
