Pedestrain street on sunday, the Tokyoites are so fashionably dressed while shopping in their department stores. Finding an unagi restaurant that has been around for more than a 100 years old -Miyagawa Honten on the 8th floor of the Matsuya Dept store was a treat for unagi lovers. Shopping at Ginza is not cheap but you can be assured the products have been tastefully edited-- so much temptations--simply cakes & cookies are presented in crafted packaging. We enjoy the food basement of the department stores at Ginza, from food gift treats to take outs (after 7pm watch out for 20-30% discounts on take out food items). Thee was a MOMA (museum of modern art) souvenir shop at the corner where there is Sony showroom -- I enjoy museum souvenir shop -sometimes more than the museum. You can acquire your Issey Miyake designer BaiBai shopping bag here. Tokyo is no longer the world's most expensive capital city- it now belongs to Singapore. $100 a nite hotels are now easily found throughout Agoda or Booking.com . Dining in Tokyo can be affordable --especially breakfast & lunch where the bento box (set lunch) are at promotional prices. You have great food and good shopping that awaits you in Japan :-)
