“Easy Access for Non-Japanese”
Reviewed July 30, 2014

Getting around Tokyo is difficult, especially when you do not read Japanese. The subway and trains are complicated. Make life easy and stay at the Royal Park Hotel, with easy access to Narita Airport and major Tokyo destinations.

1) Airport Access. Next to Royal Park is TCAT (Tokyo Central Air Terminal). There are busses that run every 20 minutes to and from Narita Airport from here. Cost is $30 for one trip. Outside of Narita baggage claim is TCAT ticket and the bus is right outside. Royal Park is the only hotel that is connected to TCAT.

2) Tokyo Access. Below the hotel is the Hanzomon subway line by Tokyo Metro. You can buy a 2 day pass at the hotel to use on this line ($9 for two days). I hate switching subway or moving to the JR Rail on the ground level, it can be crazy and getting lost is not good, so you can use this ONE line to get to 4 places you should visit in Tokyo - Shibuya, Ginza, Nihonbashi (visit the new COREDO buildings) and Tokyo Sky Tree. They are all on this ONE line and you can catch an elevator from your room floor directly to the station. That is convenient, and non-Japanese will be able to move around.

3) Other - all staff speak English and service is impeccable. Make sure you try to eat dinner at Sumida Teppanyaki on the 21st level with commanding night views of Tokyo Sky Tree and Tokyo Tower. The meals start at $120 per person, but they have a course dinner for hotel guests only that is $55. Highly recommended. Bring you running shoes too, next the hotel is the Sumida River and there is an amazing jogging path that runs on both sides.

This place is the ideal location in Japan for non-Japanese.

I stayed int his hotel with my wife for 6 nights. I attended a convention at the Tokyo International Forum and Imperial Hotel. First off, getting there from Haneda airport was a breeze because the hotel is right beside the TCAT where bus limousine makes a major stop. Also there is a major subway station directly connected to the hotel (Hanzomon Line via Suitengumae Stn). I have to walk about 10 minutes to the nearest subway line to take me directly to the convention centre (Hibiya line via Ningyocyo Stn). Going back to Haneda via bus limousine was also a breeze. Since it is directly connected to a main subway station, going around Tokyo was easy for sight seeing. Room was small as well as the bathroom. TV channels are limited. Nevertheless, stay was pleasant and we expected Tokyo hotels to be small. I would not mind staying in this hotel again. Food was expensive in the hotel but there are several Ramen restaurants, 7-11 and Family Mart in the area. I would not mind staying in this hotel again.

This was my second visit, except for the location, nothing is good in this hotel. The rooms this time around were very basic not even coffee sachets and sugar!!!The rooms are now worn out and this should either be blocked out for renovation or ready it for demolition. Even the bed was hard like a log and i was offered twin bed room..The keys to the room is a antique ones which weighs atleast 100 grams and made of pure brass!!!! This takes back the hotel into a age of its own. They dont even provide you with water bottles and its charged. Luckily we had supermarkets opposite to the hotel and everyday at 7am we used to go to the super market to buy water. When your neighbor slams the door you feel like you just faced an earthquake. The only plus point is Tokyo city air terminal bus service is located next door, or connected from the 2nd floor of the hotel and connects directly to the terminal. Subway station is easily connected from the hotel through the 2nd sub basement which goes to Suitengumei station(through exit 4)

Room Tip: First and foremost, try to avoid this hotel, if you still want to stay, then get a room away from th...

The location of the hotel is prime and it is connected to the Suitengumae Metro station which makes it even more convenient for a first timer. Metro is the most ideal commuting mode in Tokyo and having a station attached to your hotel is more than what you can ask for. Service is excellent and Rooms are clean; my only complaint was regarding the TV channels as they have very minimum English channels (3 news channels to be precise) broadcasted. Staff at the Concierge and Front office are excellent and will go out of their way to serve you.

Room Tip: Please ask for rooms in the top most floors and the one with Tokyo sky tree view. Its marvelous.

The hotel is currently celebrating its 25th anniversary, and does appear a little bit dated in places (decor etc) but still very smart. The location is great (link to TCAT for buses to the airports), directly above a metro station and convenient for the Chuo business district. Service is excellent and staff are fantastically helpful. Buffet breakfast has a wide selection, with something to please almost everyone. There are a number of restaurants in the hotel which seem expensive, but which offer resident discounts. Tried the Japanese restaurant which was excellent. Have stayed here before (in 2011) and will probably stay again.

Good hotel, good services but no complementary water bottles in the room even in the executive rooms and very bad extention policy (asked to keep my room 3 hours more due to a late flight, one night more!)

Room Tip: No smoking rooms to smelly
