“Very good!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 26, 2013

This is the 3rd time that I have stayed at this hotel. It is very good. The staff is friendly and very service oriented. The food is good and it has great access to the subway station. The gym could use a bit of an upgrade.

It is supposed to be a good hotel but I found it boring and outdated.

Furniture are old and the classical style with heavy wood and marble does not make me feeling really good.

Nothing to say about the cleanliness of the rooms but overall it was not a good experience. I have been there three times and I don't think will stay there anymore.

Rooms and small - but this is almost a default in Japan city - and all services offered by the hotel are pretty expensive.

Staff is speaking poor and no English and in the few occasion I asked them help for some location even the people from concierge looked at me like I were asking directions for the moon.

The hotel offer a generous and really good morning buffet breakfast with huge choice of beverages.

Location wise it is very good as it is connected with Limousine Bus Station and with a subway station.

The area around the hotel is worth to visit as it is home of many famous confectionery and traditional pastry/biscuits bakeries.

Just got back from a business trip and was not overwhelmed based on the previous reviews posted on trip advisor, but also not bad. Very courteous doormen waiting on guests and the lobby was modern but that's where the upgrades or renovations ended. The room was a double double and spacious as we booked the executive floors. Decor is very much stuck in the 80's, bathroom was tight and if one isn't careful, you can slip on your way in and out of the shower/tub as it's elevated a bit from the floor. Great shower water pressure though, that made up for the sip and slide tub. Decor in bathroom definitely from the 80's, nice pink hue to the countertop, worn carpeting but overall - clean. Just like Tokyo - everything was clean and well made. The pillows were a little hard and flat but after a 13 hour flight, could have slept on plywood and it would have been fine. Nice buffet upstairs on the 20the floor exec lounge for b'fast...nothing out of the ordinary but quieter than 1st floor restaurant and nice views. GREAT service, everyone was very courteous and it makes you wonder why American hotels can't mimic the Asian level of hospitality. Given the rates we got as we are a Japanese multi-national corp -- not bad. But next time, likely look to stay at The Palace Hotel overlooking the Imperial Palace for about the same $$$.

I enjoyed my stay there. The location is excellent, there is a train subway beneath the hotel and many other train stations within 3 mins of walking. The hotel service is also excellent and the room was clean and spacious.

I have just returned from a four night stay at the Royal Park Hotel and unfortunately it is not a hotel in which I would choose to stay again. On the plus side the service is excellent. The staff are incredibly helpful and always on hand. However the hotel is dated, drab with small and rather cramped rooms. The AC took a long time to get the room cool, the bathroom was clean and had a solid choice of amenities. That being said, it was like being back in a bathroom from the 1970’s including non-slip tape in the bath. Room service was prompt, very courteous and perfectly acceptable but the choices were limited within each choice of cuisine. The hotel just misses the mark for me which is a shame as the staff really work hard to create a positive experience for guests.

I recently stayed at the RPH again. This was probably the 15th time I have stayed there and the hotel remains consistently very good. The team have been there for as long as I have been coming, so they recognise me now and are very welcoming. Normally I have breakfast on the Executive floor but this time I stayed with many colleagues and we tried the 1st floor breakfast. It was very nice indeed. I really cannot fault this hotel. I love the position as it is situated next door to the TCAT which means a 1 hour direct limo bus to and from Narita and 20 minutes to Haneda. The hotel is also situated directly above Suitengumae subway station so very handy to public transport. Oh and by the way, a Sumo training centre is close by and you can visit this for free. You just need to make an appointment via concierge.

This hotel is a good value for expensive Tokyo, and the service is exceptional. The property wears its 25 years, but the rooms are clean, small and comfortable. The breakfast buffet has a large selection of international foods, so you certainly won't go hungry. Getting around on the incredible Tokyo Metro system couldn't be easier, and the hotel is well placed for sightseeing and an easy bus ride to Narita airport. If you're looking for modern, chic Toyko, this hotel isn't it. But for a good value in an older, charming part of town, this could be a good bet. Don't miss the lovely Japanese garden on the 5th floor!
