This was our second stay in the Royal Park Hotel in Tokyo. We were pleased on both trips. The hotel is located adjacent to the TCAT (Tokyo City Air Transit) terminal so that it is ideal to travel to and from Narita airport via the bus (one hour drive). There is a subway stop (the purple line) in the basement and navigating Tokyo is easy from this hotel. The service is unbelievable! Very polite and capable staff.
There are also numerous restaurants in the area and it is very convenient to eat delicious and affordable food. We also had the breakfast buffet daily which was awesome (both Western and Japanese style breakfast available).
In addition, there is a gym to maintain your exercise program. There is also a lap pool to exercise and also for the kids to relax at the end of a day of sight-seeing.
I think it is the ideal hotel for business or pleasure trips to Tokyo.

Room Tip: Try to get a club room on the upper floors. There is a club lounge which features a happy hour at 5P...

As a first timer in Tokyo I appreciated the easy access by Bus from Narita airport. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Got a room on the executive floors and room size quite acceptable and mini bar well equipped. Breakfast starts at 7am and can recommend the top floor restaurant with a nice view while you enjoy your freshly made omelet. The 16th floor executive open bar is a good place the meet after work. The hotel is by today's standard maybe slightly old fashioned but that is not to say it is not well kept or run down, on the contrary. Free internet is definitely a big plus and bed is very comfortable.

The hotel is just beside the TCAT, and a metro station. Friendly and helpful staff. It's a luxury hotel but rooms are dated, they need a renovation. The standard rooms are small. Breakfast is good. They offer free mineral water only in the deluxe rooms, taking a package in the executive floor they don't have this service in the standard rooms.

Room Tip: Rooms in executive floors have a good view. Standart ones are a little small.

Location is a breeze and the hotel is designed to welcome the western visitor be it us invests or pleasure. I stayed on the executive floor with the drinks and lounge access which was nice. Room is big by Japanese standards and the bathroom is well stocked including hair oil for tired scalps!!!! All in all hard to fault

Arrived on a rainy day. The bus from Narita to the T-CAT was a breeze to negotiate and a gentle transition from air travel to city life. The walk to the hotel is very short; the second floor passage bypasses city traffic and is protected from the elements. The staff of the hotel are remarkably polite and nice. Sunday breakfast in the lobby cafe, Symphony, is a bit hectic but a treat. Access to Tokyo Metro (Suitengumae station) is direct from the hotel's B2 level. Took several cabs and there was never a wait. A short walk in nearly any direction takes you to just about any amenity you might need while travelling, as well as some rather good restaurants. There really wasn't much reason to stay in the room except to sleep. stayed in a non-smoking room, which smelled faintly of tobacco for the first few hours. Colleagues who stayed on smoking floors cautioned that the experience is rather intense.

This hotel just celebrated it 25th anniversary. It's a luxury hotel, despite its design reveals its age.
Excellent service as always.
Facilites: the swimming pool really needs update, as its walls appeared without tiles and rather scratched -definitely not nice to see. The gym is rather small but well equipped. Nice sauna and jacuzzi area.
Breakfast on top floor: watch out, if the hotel is fully booked you may have to be on a waiting list. Consider calling for a booking, to avoid time loss.
Restaurants: ORPHEUS (top floor, lounge): lunch with international buffèt, dinner with limited selections of a sort of fusion menù. In both case, good quality, despite high price. Nice view, but the location of the Orpheus windows do not have spectacular skyline of skyscrapers (like at Park Hyatt or Dai Ichi hotels)
Genjiiko Japanese Restaurant: I tried the low cost menu (around 5200JPY) and found a miserable food quality. They created a very nice Japanese garden. with pond and trees: the view is definitely nice.
YANONE SUSHI restaurant (basement): excellent sushi bar -with hotel price, but great, cheerful service and excellent taste. This seems to me the best restaurant of the hotel, for quality/price ratio.
Overall: I'll definitely come back. (I tried the Dai Ichi but feel there is no comparison).
For the restaurants, except the Yanone Sushi, I see limited reasons to stay in the hotel.

Although this hotel is kinda old but it is still very well maintained and retained it's charm !
Room is spacious as we got ourselves a room on the executive floors.
We have 2 little toddlers and the room is spacious for the 4 of us. Because of time constraint we did not get to visit the executive lounge on the 20th floor, but totally enjoyed the great breakfast buffet spread on the 1st floor of the hotel, the buffet spread is just wonderful even if you are a picky eater, you can surely find something to satisfy yourself to kick start the day with. Love love love the buffet ! This brought me to start comparing Sheraton Grande Tokyo Bay hotel's buffet which is quite a disappointment if you compare with Royal Park Hotel ! 2 thumbs up to Royal Park Hotel's buffet breakfast spread !!
The thoughtfulness and kindness rendered by the staff in the hotel is indeed great to begin with. From the little fine gesture like placing a card beside the bed every night telling us what the weather would be the next day is very thoughtful and sweet !
The toiletries in the bathroom is almost perfect ! You could literally go to this hotel without your bathroom toiletries ...from the basic like soap, shampoo, shower cap, tooth brushes etc...They even provide hair products like hair tonic and hair moisturizing products !
The hotel staff are always helpful and their ability to communicate in English is really useful to foreigners who don't speak Japanese.
Location of the hotel is great as it is just above the train station but if you have little kids who cannot walk a fair distance, by all means bring an umbrella stroller with you, get something cheap and that you won't feel the pinch even when you have to throw it away if it gives way.
There are quite a good number of convenient stores just opposite the hotel main entrance as well as a supermarket just less than 5 minutes walk away. If you need some seasonal fruits there is also a fruit store just opposite the supermarket. A couple of drug stores are also near by, great place to get the Japanese made beauty products. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to have a comfortable stay and we would surely be going back to this hotel again on our next trip!
