The staff could not have been more friendly and helpful and everything from leaving our bags for a few days whilst we visited Kyoto to arranging the Narita airport bus worked like clockwork. However, there is a price to pay for this great service with high prices for in-room dining (very simple and limited choice) and basic drinks at the bar but there again you're sitting in the middle of Ginza so don't be too surprised. Oh, one more thing...why is it that a brand like the Marriott can't teach its staff to make a basic Caesar Salad?

Amongest most American hotel chain, Ginza Courtyard was surprisingly the cheapest (as a corporate traveler using the chain is a must) Well, what a terrible mistake that I made. Service was the worst, sure they are located in Ginza, most expensive 5th avenue-like district in Tokyo, but hate the fact that the workers discliminate guests by nationality. This is non-smoking hotel, yet I've seen Europeans smoking in the hallway, no one bother them. Yet, I came back from jog and they asked for my hotel key, claiming I might not be a guest (I'm an Asian, by the way) I was talking to other guests from SE Asia, and he told me he was asked the same. Jeez! Marriott discliminates by race now!?
They also failed to take a note of my Marriott #, hence I had to come home, weeks later file missing points request.
This hotel is going down soon, maybe that's why they are so cheap, waiting to close down. Anyways I have directed my comapny of 1000 employees to blacklist this location.

Room Tip: Sleep on street if you are Asian. Seriously. This hotel don't like Asians.

The hotel is very well located at Ginza district close to the metro station. It is very expensive... breakfast is not included. Because of the price, I think of a few downsides: wifi works only at the reception. Bedrooms are too small. There is only 1 channel in English.

Stayed here for a 2 night stopover in Tokyo, rooms small but clean & comfortable. Breakfast was good & staff very friendly & speak good English. Location great close to shopping and many fine restaurants. Room supplies kimono's, shower gels & caps, razors etc. Some English TV channels & Wifi availbale in room for a small cost.

Stayed here for a change when travelling back through Tokyo to the UK on business. Chose hotel due to Marriott gold elite perks. Took limousine bus from Haneda airport with no probs, bus stops right outside. Staff very friendly check in was no problem. Room keys have the nifty feature of choosing the elevator floor number automatically, never seen that before. Stayed on 9 th floor, seemed reasonably quiet. There is a definate smell on this floor, could not work out what, even tho smoke free smelt like stale tobacco. Room fine, usual Tokyo size, fixtures and fittings again absolutely fine. Kettle supplied but absolutely min of beverages, ie two sachets ofbgreed tea powder, two fingers of coffee, and that was it. No complimentary water, although water in mini bar which may or may not have been free. Turns out no exec lounge in hotel, but got free internet ok, courtesy of club card. However, voucher for one free happy hour drink (5 to 8pm) and a reduction in breakfast price by 5 pounds to 18 pounds not really good enough to replace free breakfast. Went into dinner buffet, and walked out again, very poor, most of the food not labelled and unimaginative. Moved to japanese restaurant downstairs and again poorly set out english menus so had a much better cheaper meal in Ginza. Given this is a hotel full of english speaking guests the layout of menus, posters and food labelling really is poor. Somebody needs to stop and just look at what a hungry guest sees who doesnt read Japanese. Many western guests are nervous about trying Japanese food, the hotel COULD be a great introduction. Hotel location right in centre of Ginza so very good. Caught coach for Narita with no problems, staff very helpful, it stops right outside the hotel. Check out was easy and painless.

I don't think it is possible to fall over in the room without hitting a wall. However, the location is great for exploring. Within walking distance to Ginza shopping, train to anywhere, and lots of great food. They provide you with a Kimono for practicing karate in your room.

Room Tip: Make sure to ask for a street view and big bed. Otherwise you will be looking at the air conditioner...

We stayed here for 2 nights with Marriott points and enjoyed our experience very much. The room was comfortable and clean, the staff was attentive and helpful, and the location was convenient. The hotel is a short walk (5, maybe 10 minutes) from several subway stations, only 2 blocks over from the main street in Ginza, and a 15 minute walk to Tsukiji Fish Market (we enjoyed breakfast in the outer market there).

There was free wifi in the lobby. There were also free maps and information about the attractions in Tokyo in English.
