By the time we finished the 2nd Tuna auction, the line at Sushi-Dai was 2 hour long and we needed to catch a train. Okame is the last sushi bar on the same alley as Sushi Dai and we saw quite a few local market people, with their rubber boots eating their breakfast there so we decided to give it a try, what turned out to be a very good decision.
While we didn't try sushi-Dai and can't compare, this was one of the best sushi we ever had. Fresh, firm and very different from what we are used to eat in the west. The Toro is highly recommended!
At 3600 yen for the Okame this isn't cheap per se, but definitely worth it! And the chefs even speaks a little bit of English.
