Being almost overwhelmed by the sheer number of eating options on our last night in Tokyo we read some reviews on Trip Advisor and headed off in search of this restaurant.
To be clear - unless you speak Japanese it is not easy to find. Just for information it has an English sign outside ta small shopping complex, and the restaurant is down the stairs.
On entering we were met by a friendly restaurant manager (who could speak decent English) and were shown to our table. We had booked too late to sit beside the Tepenyaki table but we could still see our food being cooked beside us.
We were taken through the English menu by our waiter Tanabe Masahiro and settled on the set meal with filet steak and a bottle of excellent French Bordeaux. It should be noted the wine selection was excellent with a good range of old and new world together with Japanese vintages which we unfortunately did not have a chance to try.
The meal was universally excellent. From the mixed starters which were fresh and light to the Tepenyaki style ice cream desert (the cooking of which was spectacular) the quality was high. In particular the steak was cooked perfectly to taste and was served with a selection of side orders.
We finished the meal off with a bottle of tasty Sake and teas.
A special mention should go to Tanabe who was charming (yet not intrusive) and made our last meal in Tokyo very memorable.
As a family we would thoroughly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Tokyo.
