Sitting at the teppan in this basement bar is great fun. The staff and chefs have great personality and their command of English is just good enough - assisted by an English menu (a big bonus - this is by no means universal in Tokyo eateries). We had three dishes to share, an amazing sirloin steak with minced garlic, wasabi, daikon and cress, grilled octopus and a gigantic green onion pancake topped with a sticky, sweet sauce, Japanese mayo and the freakiest bonito flakes I've ever seen - they kept twitching and moving on top of the hot pancake. A couple of Asahi beers each and we were done. Delish and around A$80. A note about the 'smoking' policy. The chairs facing the teppan are non-smoking - that doesn't stop the wafts of stinkiness heading across. Smoking policies are quite strict elsewhere in Tokyo now so this attitude allowing it where people eat is very strange. Maybe one day, this too shall change.
